Happy Fri-yay to you all, plus here’s the tenth instalment of the RC B2B guest mixes of this first series, which I am very humbled, honoured and very excited to welcome Greg @dr_packer this time around 🙏🎶🎧💃🪩🕺😎😊

Greg has been producing his legendary Reworks and Remixes since 2013 when he started his 'Dr Packer' alias, having started out as  ‘DJ Greg Packer' back in 1989.

I have been a huge fan of Greg’s reworks and remixes for a long, long while now. Plus, I  have been including a lot of his releases on my SoundCloud mixes (in this series of B2B mixes), plus my RC Groovers Assemble mixes too over the last few years. Along with a homage mix initially, plus also mixing his regular and awesome MasterMix tracks too. 

Notably, pushing the norm, with the last release back in February where Greg focused on some ‘Jazz Funk’ classics! 

I first met Greg IRL, when he appeared at the Soul Stew event with Chad Jackson, at Windsor back in 2023 on another of his brilliant UK & European summer tours. 

Being one of my hero’s, it was great to chat briefly as an introduction, plus present him with one of my ‘limited edition’ hand made wall frames for vinyls or pictures.

Then last year, I was even more excited to be able see and catch up with Greg again at the end of his tour, on his old stomping ground back in Northampton, at The Pomfret Arms. During this, I was properly made up, when he very, very kindly agreed to do a guest mix for me 😊🙏😎🫡

So sorry, but not sorry yet again, for including a small but brilliant selection of some of Greg’s now legendary ‘Reworks and Remixes’ for my first hour set of this show! An opportunity like this to play a warm up set, ahead of his brilliant mix, really wouldn’t be apt without playing these as my salute 🫡 to the genius of Greg and the Dr!!
