"Devil In The Orchard" was produced by Martin Schenk (Marcoca) at Frequenzfabrik, Augsburg and is supported by musicians from the band Catastrophe Waitress. The result is a finely arranged yet subtle indie-folk sound – reminding of artists like Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens or Aldous Harding. With its piano motif and imagery the song unfolds a warming melancholy which is effectively counteracted by the sinister to cryptic poetry of the lyrics. The editors of Bandcamp write about the sound of Lambs & Wolves: "Charming German indie pop with the keen melodic sensibilities and melancholic undercurrent of some of the style's best practitioners."
