‘Their Sister in Both Senses’ by Trevor Parkhill, read by Shana Begum and Kate Dean. The article originally appeared in the Unitarian publication Faith and Freedom.  This is the story of Emma Duffin, a Unitarian from Belfast who served as a voluntary nurse during the First World War. Her detailed diaries give sense of what it was like to serve in a hospital near the front line, which cared for wounded soldiers from both sides.
