A work from the musical cycle "Dialogues of Love". This is a cycle about the dramatic love story of two poets and written on their poems - the genius of Romanian literature Mihai Eminescu and the poetess Veronica Micle. Eugene Doga wrote more than 80 works on the poems of these poets.

When it comes to early forms of ambient used in a musical context, the roots can be traced back to early 20th century French composer and pianist Erik Satir – albeit not in the manner we know today. His work is considered a precursor to Ambient and other styles of minimalism through his modest ‘furniture music’. This is a form of music that serves the purpose of creating a background atmosphere during dinner parties. Satir didn’t produce these compositions in order to hog the attention of the listener, and that sentiment already sets the foundation of what would later become ambient music.
On the subject of compositions, it’s safe to say that classical avant-garde and experimental music were heavily influential in the formation of ambient as composers from these genres embraced minimalism and unorthodoxy.

I thought it would be interesting to see how Erik's music may have sounded today if he was still alive, with access to technology we take for granted. 

The original length of the piece at 28mins is also interesting, as who has 28 minutes to relax and listen to a whole composition of music these days?

Tame Werewolf is a synthwave musician from Iran. Formed in 2018 by Keivan Hosseini, the band creates a unique retro electronic sound of the 80s incorporating influences of space-synth, italo-disco, J pop, and eurobeat.

Another Chopin piece I rearranged and played on baritone guitar: this time the Valse Brillante Op.34 N.2 - I really loved this one - The piano original is rich in string resonances and legato which sometimes translate to the baritone guitar in a surprisingly new way.
This time, the versions I used as a reference were Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Vladimir Horowitz, and the excellent Marek Drewnowski.

Tuning is baritone ADGCEA on a Fender Bass VI - EHX Soul Food - Geloso G 221 Amp - 4x12" cab - Fane speakers. Software: Pro Tools 11, McDSP ML4000 and Revolver.
