To say that Will Graham is still an unmated, childless omega at the age of thirty-eight is his own choice is true. It is not to say that it is his preference. Will wants a mate and a family just as much – perhaps even more – than the next omega. He’s simply never met that one person who fit the bill before. And then he walks into Jack Crawford’s office and meets Hannibal Lecter and well that, as they say in the business, is that.

Now all he needs to do is convince Hannibal of that. But well, this is Hannibal Lecter he is dealing with. It must be done a certain…flair. But that isn’t a problem for Will. Not at all.

After all, snakes may kill mongoose, but one must never forget this as well: mongoose hunt snakes too.

It’s Will Graham’s turn to wage his war.

1 Wage Your War Chapter 1

Will is cold. Frozen through to be exact.  It’s been days since he left the house to do anything other than walk his dogs.  Today it is freezing as well as snowing heavily.   All he wants to do is haul up in the warmth and stay there.  It is rare he gives in to his omegan instincts but now he has to start to admit to himself that is what he might be doing.  There must be something about this weather that is making him want to hibernate.  This overwhelming need to crawl under many layers of blankets, duvets and frankly anything he can find and just stay there.  It is not a feeling he has really felt before.

Of course all of this has nothing, he is sure, to do with the fact that he has not been able to get to his appointments with Hannibal the last few days due to the bad weather.  It is definitely not why he feels a clawing ache, an emptiness and loneliness that will not leave him alone.  Hannibal is definitely not the reason.  He tells himself this as he burrows under three blankets and a duvet surrounded by pillows, closing his eyes in the darkness and finally falling asleep.
