The main riff had been rolling around in my for awhile at the time so I though I would try and flush out the idea with Jeremy Colson when we were at Sun Prairie Studio. A year later Corey would come over and sing on it & we then had the song Unfinished.

Dio - Rainbow In The Dark

Decided the next step on my guitar journey would involve one of my all-time favourites. An all-time classic from AFD - peak Guns 'n' Roses. It's such a balling tracking that I decided to learn the rhythm section as well as the solo. Hope to make this a habit and focus on full songs more moving forward.  

Also started mucking around with pinch harmonics for the first time on this song, so snuck a couple of those in too! Hope it does the original some justice.

In late 2004, after cutting some stuff at Catamount with Joel & Shawn, I decided to built a room in my house to record in.  So I bought my first Pro Tools rig, and the first song I wrote on it was '30/30-150', while trying to learn Pro Tools. The drums here are programmed, using an Alesis SR-16. I sent this demo (minus the vocals) to Corey, and when he had a break from touring with the other band, he came over and sang on it. This version is what was given to Jim, Shawn & Joel.
