

Founded by electronic composer Geoff Widdel in 2007, Sensory Orchestra was expanded in 2015 to include the talents of former Tuatha vocalist/violinist Traci. and bassist Cerulean 7000, creating a inimitable and immersive live electronica band.

Traci.’s ethereal, sensual voice and lush violin mesh serendipitously with Cerulean 7000’s driving psychedelic bass and Widdel’s aesthetically composed melodic grooves and cosmic soundscapes. This unconventional power trio’s sensory illusions and virtuoso performance style presages something unambiguous: an elastic, echoing, resonating sound that arouses the crevasses of space and mind. With souls rooted in pure passion and minds from the future, Sensory Orchestra creates a dichotomy that makes them the proto-quintessential 21st century psychedelic trance experience.

My music is an electronic, synthy-driven, industrial soundscape, peppered with elastic beats, haunting ambiance, worldly echoes, and garnished with doses of trip-hop... at least, I think. 

I’m originally from “Springtucky,” Oregon and a mix of Norwegian, African, and Native-American.  My dad was never in my life and my mom is certifiably crazy.  I love video games, The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, and psychedelic art. My best friend is Mary-Jane.  

Each track I release are direct reflections of what I’m feeling at the moment.       


The Get Right Band is a psychedelic indie rock group committed to relentlessly following their muses to honest self-expression, to whatever excites them and pushes them into unexplored territory, to capturing some version of truth. American Songwriter writes that the Asheville, NC based group, “filters 60’s/70’s psychedelia and 90’s alternative rock through a modern lens–as if Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Nirvana co-wrote an album produced by Danger Mouse and Dan Auerbach.”
 
The Get Right Band formed in 2011, built around the musical brotherhood that guitarist/singer/songwriter Silas Durocher and bassist Jesse Gentry have formed playing music together since middle school. Durocher, who is a trained composer and has been commissioned to write for symphonies and chamber groups, has guitar chops that can soothe or rage, with a charismatic swagger as frontman and singer. Gentry’s virtuosic bass playing “catapults from elastic to nasty” (The Mountain Xpress). Completing the team is drummer extraordinaire, Jaze Uries, who is also a singer, songwriter, producer, photographer, and DJ. Over the years, GRB has defined their sound through constant evolution, building to the hook-driven, synth-heavy pop/rock/psych band they are today. The Huffington Post writes, "their songs are infectious and take you immediately to a place. The lyrics are smart and bear weight." 
 
The Get Right Band has shared the stage with Dr. Dog, Everclear, Cracker, UB40, Rusted Root, Smash Mouth, and Lifehouse; been featured on NPR’s World Cafe, Paste Studio, and WTF with Marc Maron; and performed at major venues and festivals including The Fillmore, Brooklyn Bowl, Theatre of the Living Arts, The Orange Peel, FloydFest, Bristol Rhythm & Roots, and Riverbend Fest. They have released four studio albums and a live album, and their latest LP, iTopia, dropped on April 7, 2023. 

The Get Right Band has been compared to other modern indie rock bands with a psychedelic bent such as The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and MGMT.

Xatrik is the legendary twilight project of Gregory Hamber, one of the early pioneers at the turn of the 20th century to start creating the then new form of night time music that SA is now so infamous for... Originally he created his music with clever looping techniques, as well as early versions of sampling and sequencer hardware, and synthesizers. Even then Greg's penchant for a phat groove was evident and is something that still is a discernable trademark of his current sound.

Greg was also one of the original "Valley" producers that eventually formed a part of Disasterpeace Records to showcase these unknown producers at the time... By then Greg had already released his first artist album Project A (2004). He went on to release his 2nd artist album Inside Information in 2007, as well as VA - Psionic Riot he compiled in 2009 for Digital Psionics. He also released 3 artist EP's and numerous other singles on some of the best labels the psychedelic industry had to offer at the time...

Over the years he has become one of the most prolific and dynamic LIVE performers in Cape Town, playing almost every outdoor festival and event Cape Town has to offer, regularly smashing expectations and minds alike, continually pushing boundaries of sound design and arrangement. He is also known as one of the premier psy trance "teachers" in Cape Town, having successfully translated his vast production and performance knowledge into an intense production training course that will set any young producer on the right path to sonic success... Never resting on his laurels, he continues to develop these courses to include new concepts and techniques that he has perfected as he continues his journey in sound.

In 2013 Greg became a part of the kaotic new South African label Kaos Krew Records and has some serious plans in store for the future!!! Watch the legend of Xatrik continue to grow beyond the future...

     Their third release "We Were Eggs", coming out June 4th, finds the band seven years in and at their most ambitious and experimental. Spintron!k (DJ & Live)

  Attracted by the instruments at an early age (guitar, drum, flute, ...) Spintron!K chosen classical organ during his childhood to engage in music theory that will replace by an electric bass at the beginning of the adolescence and following the grunge movement (Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Velvet Underground, Rancid ...). It will leave behind some K7 audio recordings and an adventure as bassist in a grunge band.

Mid-adolescence, Spintron!K barters his bass against a darbuka to participate in sessions with different musicians improvised percussion (congas, bongos, djembe, didgeridoo, ...). During which time he not listen to a lot of jazz-rap-New Yorkers as Fun Lovin Criminals and Urban Dance Squad or the beginning of Ben Harper and Asian Dub Foundation. His friend when they make it to the joys of hip-hop (Iam, NTM, ..) and hardcore (Slayer, Sick of It All, ...)

Cradled in 1996 on the rhythms of new wave punk wave (Kraftwerk, OMD, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Bérus ...), psychedelic (Pink Floyd, ...) or old school dub, Spintron! K became interested to electronic music and began a hardcore listening period (Micropoint, Manu le Malin, ...)

Once adulthood Spintron!K emancipated to a lighter Techno and given the proximity of the border with Germany, it will be several opportunities to see artists such as Monika Kruse, Tom Wax, ... He will leave to the discovery of his first TimeWarp, Got Milk, Dairy Clubbing ...

Over the years more and more attracted by the Dj Sets multifaceted and all the more impressive as each other, Spintron!K decides to cross the stage and launches into the mix tempo turntable in April 2004. He discovered and began a collection of techno vinyls made in Detroit, minimal, teck-house and progressive German and animated by the time of birthdays friend.

It was not until May 2007 that Spintron!K embarks on production hardware with a first-sampler sequencer which led him to add multis-effects and synthesizers purely to improve his live studio productions inspired by lives (Anthony Rother, The Silures, Plastikman ...) he could see.

In 2009, Spintron!K participates with his friend of electronic music enthusiasts to create the association M2S in Strasbourg. They organize parties with the requirement to provide unique concepts. They invite local artists of all electronic horizons (minimal techno, house, dub step, schranz ...) and international artists such as DJ Hell, Arnaud Rebotini, David Carretta, Kiko, Teenage Bad Girl, Nomenklatür, Christopher Kah or Nicolas Chenard that Spintron!k a been rubbed during his mix sessions.

Currently Spintron!K live and work on perfecting his mix sessions in the evenings at Studio Saglio project.

  Attiré par les instruments dès le plus jeune âge (guitare,tambour,flûte,…), Spintron!k choisi l’orgue classique durant son enfance pour se lancer dans le solfège qu’il remplacera par une basse électrique dès le début de l’adolescence et suite au mouvement grunge (Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Velvet Underground, Rancid…). Il laissera derrière lui quelques enregistrements sur K7 audio et une aventure en temps que bassiste dans un groupe de grunge.

Vers le milieu de l’adolescence, Spintron!k troquera sa basse contre un darbouka pour participé à des séances de percussions improvisées avec différents musiciens (conga, bongo, djembé, didgeridoo,…,). Période durant laquelle il écoutera pas mal de rap-jazz-New-Yorkais telle que Fun Lovin Criminals ou Urban Dance Squad ou encore le début de Ben Harper et Asian Dub Foundation. Ses ami(e)s quand à eux lui font découvrir les joies du hip-hop (Iam, NTM,..) et du hardcore (Slayer, Sick of It All,…)

Bercé dès 1996 sur les rythmes de la vague new wave punk (Kraftwerk, OMD, Depeche mode, The Cure, Les Bérus,…), psychédélique (Pink Floyd,…) ou encore dub old school, Spintron!k commence à s’intéresser à la musique électronique et entame une période d’écoute hardcore ( Micropoint, Manu le Malin,…)

Dès l’âge adulte Spintron!k s’émancipe vers une Techno plus légère et vu la proximité de la frontière avec l’Allemagne il aura plusieurs occasions de voir des artistes telle que Monika Kruse, Tom Wax,… Il partira à la découverte des ses premières TimeWarp, Got Milk, Clubbing Laiterie,…

Au fil des années de plus en plus attiré par ces Dj Sets aux multiples facettes et tous plus impressionnants les uns que les autres, Spintron!k décide de franchir l’étape et se lance dans le mix tempo sur platine vinyle en Avril 2004. Il découvre et commence une collection de vinyles techno made in Detroit, minimal, teck-house ainsi que progressive Allemande et anime par moment des anniversaires d’ami(e)s.

Ce n’est qu’en Mai 2007 que Spintron!k se lance dans la production sur du hardware avec un premier séquenceur-sampler qui l’amènera à rajouter des multis-effets ainsi que des synthétiseurs pour parfaire ses productions purement live en studio inspirées par les lives (Antony Rother, The Silures, Plastikman,…) qu’il a pu voir.

En 2009, Spintron!k participe avec ses ami(e)s passionnés de musique électronique à la création de l’association M2S à Strasbourg. Ils organisent des soirées avec l’exigence de proposer des concepts singuliers. Ils invitent des artistes locaux de tous horizons électroniques (techno, house, minimale, dub step, schranz…), puis des artistes internationaux tel que Dj Hell, Arnaud Rebotini, David Carretta, Kiko, Teenage Bad Girl, Nomenklatür, Christopher Kah ou encore  Nicolas Chenard que Spintron!k a pu côtoyé durant ses mix sessions.

Actuellement, Spintron!k travail sur un projet live et perfectionne ses mix sessions lors des soirées au Studio Saglio.

Growing up listening to artist like The Doors, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Paradise Lost... I slowly developed my taste in music and came in contact with electronic dance music around the age of 16. Attending big techno parties and seeing DJ behind the decks and the energy they send out I knew this was something I wanted to do, and from then on it became a big part of my life!

My journey started out as a techno DJ, during that time I mastered the skills that were needed to be a DJ. Everything was still vinyl at that time and I remember my first decks to be the kind that drives the spinning plate with an elastic band ;). After three years of playing raw pounding techno at established parties and playing beside artists like DJ Rush, Claude Young and Marco Bailey my taste in music was changing and I went looking for new horizons! I found the answers I was looking for in the more psychedelic and progressive scene to which I was introduced at the end of 2001.

Nowadays, played on a festivals like Vuuv (ger), Indian Spirit (ger), Tshitraka (ger), The Experience (Thailand), Blackmoon (Thailand), Tomorrowland (Bel), ... my DJ -bag is stashed with a wide selection of music, ranging in styles going from tech/deep house, minimal, progressive house to psychedelic progressive: the art to me is playing the right track at the right time and keeping everything interesting by adding effects and loops to the tracks you’re playing. 

I play with the laptop now, and I do this because for me, that way, the possibilities for creativity are endless and having done also some production work my sets are now a kind of semi live, what I mean by that is that I don’t play my own music (except for a couple a tracks here and there) but I do try to make tracks different on the fly by playing them loop based, cutting out parts and adding extra samples and effects, which gives me a lot of freedom for creativity right there and then on the spot.
