Since fusing their creative worlds in 2014, Martin Vice and Michael Banel emerged on the international scene as an exciting and powerful duo, quickly enthralling audiences around the globe. 

Their self-titled collaboration, MVMB, focuses on delivering a slick and intelligent sound taking listeners on a journey with not only their sets but their accumulating releases. The first full-length album in 2016, The sleeper Must Awaken (Iboga Records), effortlessly explores the boundaries between techno and progressive psy-trance to deliver a deep, driving and hypnotic soundscape. Intentionally crafted to take listeners on an interstellar journey connecting them to the almost mythical trance dance sensation, the album was received with acclaim.

Taking the bpm down a notch while turning up the heat, their 2019 second album Phase 01 (IbogaTech) traverses the atmospherics of a melodic techno sound that retains a hint of trance. Their next, eagerly awaited step in the journey will see them arrive in Peak Techno town in 2022, ready to demolish dance floors with melodic mayhem.

Delivering powerful performances responsive to the energetic needs of the dance floor, MVMB is a versatile act available for bookings to present melodic techno, peak time techno or progressive trance sets.
The debut album "The Sleeper Must Awaken" were released on Iboga Records, adding to the labels very impressive stable of artists and quality releases.

In 2016-17 the duo have started producing a techno album and developed a new DJ concept mixing own tracks with their favourite inspirations from the techno scene.

Born in the hot summer of 1979, I grew up in the center of The Netherlands. At the age of 12 I discovered the wonderful new genre of House music. Still a schoolboy, I used all my pocket money to buy cassette tapes of famous Dutch house compilations like Move The House, Turn up the Bass & House Party. In the following years several new subgenres emerged, in which the melodic ones were my favourites. That means lots of Eurodance, and instead of the popular Dutch Hardcore, I chose for German Rave and Hardtrance. That combination of powerful beats with lots of melodies was golden and formed my music taste.

Some years through genres like Dream House, Club Trance and the famous Pizzicato house followed and the first Trancemaster! CD’s were collected. And then the year 1999 came, I discovered a strange imported English mix compilation called Gatecrasher:Wet
It contained a wonderful combination of trance tracks from all over Europe. At that moment I started to save some money for buying my first turntables. When I bought my first 2 belt drive turntables and a basic mixer a new world opened. The world was far less international so it was quit a challenge to get those gems from abroad. In 2005 this trance addiction was expanded with producing my own tracks with the then brand new FruityLoops software. Exploring all ranges of trance music my production portfolio is very diverse, like all the different music styles I like to play. 

Being a bedroom producer and DJ for many years my collection grew to about 2500 records ranging from deep progressive house to hardtrance. Around 2007/2008 vinyl records stopped being the main medium for electronic music and things were getting all digital. Missing the fun part of buying and spinning part of records, together with a changing sound of trance made that spinning music was not on my highest rank anymore. But although not too active, this was the period that I discovered harmonic mixing, which still forms the base of all my mixes. By combining the harmonies of different tracks, my mixes are full of homemade mash-ups and by using the harmonic mixing wheel I try to make one continuous journey through harmonies.

In these years my turntables and record collection were gathering dust. I still followed the trance scene sideways and made an occasional mix (with Virtual DJ) or track. In 2018 something changed. I decided to go to a trance festival again after 15 years, so me and my friends made a trip to Luminosity Beach Festival 2018. I was overwhelmed by the fact that this scene was so much more alive than I expected. Especially the fact that there were so many DJ’s that still played those classic trance tracks. Inspired by those sets I decided to upload some of my older mixes on my SoundCloud page for all those classic trance lovers. 

In the past 4 years I created my own themes for my mixes, some modern ones but lots of classics. For example my yearbooks in honour to those golden years of trance. My Exhibition of Classic Trance does reflect my personal taste the best, those mixes are always more than 3 hours to ensure a complete journey through different styles of trance. My personal favourite series is Hidden Treasures, which completely consists of all those hidden gems from back in the days. Of course I love the obvious classics, just as much as all trance lovers, but mixes with only the well-known classics are sometimes a bit exchangeable. With these hidden treasures I can let people discover tracks they never heard of and be more unique. It’s my pleasure to provide you all with a broad range of trance music.

With multiple Gold disc mix compilation accolades and millions of streams to his name, he has also delivered acclaimed Essential Mixes for BBC Radio 1 and earned the rare distinction of bridging the commercial and underground worlds without compromise.

As a producer, John’s esteem within the industry has drawn respect from electronic luminaries such as Jean-Michel Jarre and Muse. While he accepts peer endorsements humbly, he continues to let his production skills speak for themselves. With five electronic artist albums and an extensive discography of singles, John also finds time to compose for major film and television networks, including projects with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London.
As head of JOOF Recordings, he has built the label into a trusted home for forward-thinking artists, nurturing a global community united by quality-driven electronic music.

His productions and live sets have received incredible support from renowned DJ's across the globe.

With releases on respectable labels including Cold Harbour Recordings, JOOF Recordings, FSOE UV, Vandit Alternative, Perfecto Black, ICONYC, and Freegrant Music, Jordan is climbing the ranks and creating a name that is surfacing fast in the industry. His tracks have received notable support from the likes of Markus Schulz, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Burren, Ferry Corsten, Cristoph, John 00 Fleming, Aly & Fila, Korolova, Chus & Ceballos, and Paul Thomas among others. Ever since breaking out in 2020, Jordan's productions have earned strong results breaking the Top 10 and Top 100 BeatPort Charts consistently. Jordan’s biggest highlight was collaborating with legendary Paul Van Dyk on their track ‘Voltage’ which received huge worldwide support. This provided the honourable achievement of joining Paul Van Dyk on his Venture X Tour as direct support in Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver in February 2024.

With huge success from his first Mexico and Costa Rica tour in April 2022, Jordan shared the stage with many significant names in the industry. He finalized the tour with eight dates over seven cities between the two countries with each show as a headline act. Jordan headlined one of the most sought after events in San Jose with Morttagua hosted by Electric Animals and 3AM Techno. From there he traveled to Tulum to play Anywhere Festival alongside artists including Solardo, Matthias Tanzmann, Spencer Brown, Paco Osuna, Marsh, Hosh, Simon Doty, and many others providing valuable exposure as a now international DJ. Jordan will be using this incredible achievement as leverage to further push himself to new international markets in the very near future.
