Cedar and Pine is a dynamic indie/alternative rock two-piece from London Ontario.  Formed in 2015 after Derek Stocking and Tyse Burrows took on the challenge of creating a full-band sound with minimal live members.  Having worked together in other bands, they constantly had problems scheduling between 4 or 5 bandmates, so they took the simplest approach. With a truly unique live performance the band is definitely one of a kind, and a sight to see. A 3-piece force of nature, The Jailbirds are a band you must see live. Not long after the release of their debut EP, ‘The Black River’, the band was nominated for and won “Best Rock” at the 2018 Mississauga Music Awards and since then, won "Best Live Band" at the 2022 MM Awards. The Jailbirds have drawn comparisons to the likes of Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Deep Purple, Monster Truck, Royal Blood and other such bands. They have molded the rock genre into something entirely their own with their blend of classic rock, modern rock, grunge and popular music.

Off the back of their 2021 concept EP ‘Jungle’, The Jailbirds have been featured on FM radio, Top Spotify Curated Playlists (such as Hard Rock/Rock Faves/Best Rock 2020) & online publications globally such as BRAVEWORDS and Guitar World Magazine. The guys have received public praise from some big names in rock such as Todd "Dammit" Kerns (Slash, Age of Electric), 102.1 The Edge’s Octavia Allison, Jon Harvey of Monster Truck and more.

The Jailbirds are known for their on-stage heavy hitting sound and their dedication to their respective instruments. They crave creating art and living a life full of new experiences, taking their craft seriously but not so much themselves.

The function of this Soundcloud account is mostly to showcase some small projects and some of my favourite songs from my complete projects, of which I put in their entirety on Bandcamp. I personally prefer Bandcamp for it's fantastic lay out and easy user (and artist) navigation. However, I understand that Soundcloud is nice for keeping track of artists and I want to make it easy for you guys to follow me.

Young poet, seeker, and obsessive punk show-goer Jackie hopped into the back of a van to meet guitarist Ryan Stanley in June, 2003. She heard his solo record and fell in love. When at last they met outside of an all-ages punk rock show in Mississauga, Ontario, the Earth shattered. As they joined hands, the cosmos imploded. When they kissed, it rebuilt itself...and so began their shared life of immersion in music and art. In 2007, they released their first album and began a 13 year journey of touring across Canada together and recording over a dozen releases as a self-produced guitar-and-drum duo. Not only do they sing about heavy societal and individual problems, but also their solutions. Cursed Arrows have more recently added a powerful live rhythm section to the mix, expanding their sound into a more sprawling, grinding, exploratory beast. They've lived in minivans and haunted basements, appeared on hit TV shows, and have each had their own near death experiences. Their music seeks to translate and transmute their love and humanity into a listenable format. They live with their son, Fox, in close proximity to the wilderness of Central Ontario, Canada.

Lost Arts are an Alternative Rock band from London Ontario. Approaching the release of  their debut EP, Lost Arts are proving that their live show is an experience you will not want to miss. Always writing new songs Lost Arts are honing their sound, evolving into one of Southern Ontario’s more promising new bands. 

Lost Arts have opened for bands such as Crown Lands & The Lazys.
 
They find their inspiration through acts like Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, Frank Turner & Alice In Chains to name a few.

Guitars have always dominated rock music. Who gets the girls? Guitarists. Who gets the fame? Guitarists. Who’s gets the free drinks? Guitarists. What if I told you, you don’t need guitars to rock. We’re Matching Sox a 2 piece Bass and Drums pop punk duo with Sam Downey on Vocals and Bass and Jaden Galachiuk on Vocals and Drums. The idea was created when Jaden joined now defunct band Beyond Oblivion as the Drummer, a band that Sam was playing bass in at the time. Sam became very impressed with Jaden's ability to lay down a solid beat and his emphasis on heavy dynamics. After Beyond Oblivion broke up Sam reached out to Jaden about starting an experimental pop punk project that only contains vocals, distorted bass guitar and heavy drums. The 2 piece have been busy working on their upcoming EP which is set to release in the fall.
