This is a MIDI compilation of the various themes heard throughout the Engineering Level and other areas in the game. It was originally arranged by a man with the internet alias "Chicago", probably uploaded some time in 1998 (original site seems to be down). The tempo is about 3% faster than in the game and he added a stereo separation in the bass among a few other minor tweaks, but largely the MIDI data is unchanged.

The track is being rendered through the Arachno Soundfont (http://www.arachnosoft.com/main/soundfont.php) a soundfont meant to compliment old MS-DOS video games. The MIDI controller I used is a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.

This is something I made after the Spring Break event where we got spooky, awesome, interesting additions to the storyline, and mostly how much Duke was actually involved in all of it. I'm loving the story now and I made this as a track as something that would play in a heist where you're getting a big part of the puzzle resolved, whether it's Kataru, Kento, the Dentist, Bain, who knows, but the importance of the heist is unparalleled by other heists, and it is important you succeed the mission.

I hope you enjoy this music as much as i did making it!

Uncovered Mysteries (PAYDAY 2 Inspired Music)

LUFTRAUSERS is Vlambeers' 2D dogfighting game about launching an experimental fighter plane from a submarine deep inside enemy territory and leaving behind a trail of style and burning wrecks everywhere it goes. Also the only game in which players can build & fly their own LUFTRAUSER.

The soundtrack for LUFTRAUSERS is being created by Jukio 'KOZILEK' Kallio and will be completely modular. Modifying your LUFTRAUSERS plane will change the soundtrack to the game accordingly. This is one of over 150 variations that will be available in the game.

When the Black Mesa dev team recently announced that the Xen chapter would go open beta soon, I - as a huge Half-Life nerd - was of course super excited and decided to commemorate this event with a metal remix. Both the new soundtrack and the Xen beta are available now at the time of this release but when I was planning this remix, I unfortunately did not yet have access to the new Xen soundtrack. So, for this one, I went with "We've Got Hostiles" from Joel Nielsen's original Black Mesa soundtrack released back in 2012.

Huge thanks to Manuel Hirner, my bandmate from Remember Your Scars, for supplying the amazing guitar solo you hear during the outro chorus! Check out his music projects and books via the link below. Shoutouts also to another bandmate, EdiEmptYness, whose solo from one of Remember Your Scars' work-in-progress songs inspired the chorus melody in this remix. 

Also, I wanted to do a bit more on the visual side for this remix. Upping my production game, so to speak. Therefore, I got another buddy, Tobias Hartmann (link below), on board to capture some ingame footage and edit it. He has managed to pull off somewhat of an emerging storyline with this one and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Unfortunately, the Source Engine gave us quite some trouble during video capturing, so please excuse the occasional framedrop. This was also a learning experience for us, and learn we did indeed. I can probably already spoil that there's gonna be a follow-up project in this style, and the next one's certainly gonna go more "smoothly".
