Sometimes you forget the reason you pick up your instruments has nothing to do with perfection..its expression.

ZFB https://soundcloud.com/zepop recently reminded me of that with a wonderful track called Think Talk About Love, its raw, flawed but pristine with something the polish takes away.

Tainted Icarus had a band meeting tonight and by a unanimous vote of one the decision was made to have a jam session  a no frills, no edit, no heavy mixing kind of thing.

In a couple of hours Naked Inspiration was born and posted.  If Tainted Icarus could get all its guitar & bass players in a room to jam at the same time...this is what it would sound like.  :)

Thank you ZFB for reminding me that all that glitters is not gold, and sometimes it wasn't gold you were looking for anyway. :)

Real Life: You fall in love with someone or something that is completely  out of your reach. You are consumed by the despair that will be your's alone.

Mythology: Clytie fell hopelessly in love with the god Helios ( Apollo)yet he would never notice her. As he flew his chariot across the sky towing the sun from East to West she watched in vain from down upon the earth in longing and desire..... a love that would never be returned. Her feet became roots in the soil; her face became the flower that tracks the motion of the sun. 

Today she is seen as the sunflower. ( though many agree that the actual flower that moves with the sun is the English Turnsoil)

The Song: Back in the days of Everclear and Weezer, Bill's brother Dustin was fooling around with a funny little power chord riff that became the basis for "Dark Eyes". The song was partly penned on a random scrap of paper, stuffed in a notebook, placed in a leather briefcase and completely forgotten about until the year 2014 when we all (Bill, Melissa and Will) joined together in the music making. 2016 was when we heard the Tainted Icarus sound and knew that the song could finally exist as it was meant to be! 

The Story: You see a disheveled, sinister-looking character in the city center. You want to avoid but somehow he pulls you in and then singles you out! Who is this evil creep? How dare he comment on your sunglasses of all things? Who cares? Why is he talking to you when there is a whole group around? ....... Well, soon you realize who the evil one really is......

Mechanical means

Guitarist for many years now, I used to play in several groups with different kind of musical influences. I decided, after a very deep reflexion, to take a break and build up my own home studio. So many ideas in my head that I'm trying to express !
