A lovely piece full of charm and virtuoso playing--no doubt a beast to play, but is so elegant in the arrangement one does not think of the difficulty, only the beauty.

A song that touches on the realm of mental health and how we need to help break down the defence of such a powerful illness. It’s not a box to tick or a problem to solve its far more complicated than that. 
If theirs someone we love or just someone we know or even a complete stranger just shine a little light into there corner. This will let them now they are not alone and we are here to talk and help. 
The song as been recorded with live instruments remotely and me and Sarge  we would like to thank the musicians who got involved.
Sarge as produced, played several instrumentals and liaised with the other musicians to make this happen. Enjoy

This is actually a remix of the song “Where We Want To Be” which I shared about four years ago when I first joined Soundcloud.   “Winter's Road” was in fact the original title when the song was written.  So I decided to fall back to that with this remix.   See what you think.

Winter's Road

Annmarie was a very close friend for a period in my life where I was generally feeling sorry for myself and often not the greatest person to hang out with. Annie, as I always called her, was a very dear friend during that time. Yet, when I went on to marry and raise a family, Annie became more and more isolated herself and it seemed I couldn’t keep our old friendship as it once so wonderfully was. When she passed away, too soon, these words came to me and I remember her often with a smile, straight talk and always a helping hand. Something I should have shown greater appreciation for when I had the chance.

This is a crude recording from my iPhone complete with background noise and such, but it was the first time I played it and decided it was what should be preserved despite its warts. I over-dubbed the harmonies and harmonica.
