Heavy Punk Rock 'n' Roll band turns into Synthwave nowadays! Brand NEW album "Ultraviolet Cosmos" available NOW!

“Rotten Copper” was founded in 2019 by Thure Kjer (then drums and guitar) together with Rainer Caspar (rhythm guitar) and Frank Plewa (bass) under the name “Orange On Fire”. The melodic guitar sound, which was shaped by Thure and supplemented by compositions by Rainer, should be supported by a female voice. In 2020, Bianca van Dijk was used as a singer. When Axel Prüser took over on drums shortly afterwards, Thure switched to lead guitar. “Orange On Fire” was complete and ready for the first performances. Bianca left the band in 2023. In the same year, the new “female front” became Leni Ackermann, who from then on also took over writing the lyrics. In 2024, Frank and Axel left “Orange On Fire”. The band still worked on recording and releasing existing pieces. For the recordings, Thure took over the drums and bass in addition to the lead guitar.

Since the summer of 2024, there has been a new bassist, Jogi, and at the end of the year the band was renamed “Rotten Copper”. 

The sound of “Rotten Copper” can be described as a mixture of metal, rock, ska and pop. In short: Conductive Metal. The lyrics tell emotional stories that make you think.
