Danny DJ’d for several years in Tenerife & London at a number of clubs & bars, then in his mid-twenties began producing, feeling more drawn to the complexity of production than performing, releasing dozens of E.P.s in some good labels, most notably under the moniker Ynnad Zeugnimod and his own label, De La Casa Records.

And he had immediate success as his debut release on PPM ‘Ol Dirty Blades’ shot to number one worldwide on the Juno Download Disco chart and the Hypeddit Disco chart.

Born in 1975, Danny grew up influenced on a huge variety of genres including; Salsa and Reggae, (both loved in Tenerife.) Spanish 80s Pop, Funk, Disco, Rap, Brazilian and African music of many genres, Jazz, Heavy Metal and Punk.

A key quality in B4ck To L1fe’s productions is his vast taste & knowledge in music, allowing him to deliver a variety of songs from many different genres & tempos & a dizzying array & clever use of percussion, brass & instrumental. His raw talent shines through.

And that can be seen with his stunning debut release in June for PuzzleProjectsMusic; ‘Ol’ Dirty Blades’ (Óyela). Released across three formats including club, dub & vocal versions, the release is a textbook example of his natural ability to work multiple genres into his productions. On paper, it shouldn’t work together, but he achieves it in style.

Following the global success of‘Ol’ Dirty Blades’ (Óyela), B4ck To L1fe returns to PuzzleProjectsMusic with ‘Scenes,’ a three-track EP that takes in filter disco, block-rocking beats and a sultry 80s rework that would have made Prince go weak at the knees.

Welcome, follow me on my journey of music production.

Karl paired with another artist and they began producing full time in 2006 with friends from school and since have worked with a variety of artists from all different genres. In early 2008 "Spin" left the act and Karl continued to produce under the alias.

Between 2009 and 2012, Karl produced and featured with artists between exams and college, and unfortunately due to personal problems ended his musical pursuits in November 2012. This however was short lived as Karl was back in the studio by March of 2013.

2013 saw Karl produce and release three successful mixtapes with a large number of artists featuring and collaborating, as well as his own work. 

Tracks from each appeared and were presented on the likes of Rinse FM, Kiss and Radio 1Xtra, as well as many internet, pirate and underground stations. 

In mid-2014 Rinse 'N' Spin went back to producing the truly seductive old skool sound of UK Garage, with small variations incorporating other various styles of music and sound. 

Returning in 2017 after a break to spend time with his new-born daughter, Karl worked with previous collaborators and actively worked with new talent. 2018 and 2019 saw the release of What is Love, a bumpy remix of Haddaway's classic, an extended mix of the popular Away, a cover of Fleetwood Mac's Classic, Dreams, with his wife providing the vocals, and a garage remix of Dua Lipa's New Rules. 

After a 6 year hiatus, Rinse 'N' Spin is back at work on 3 new tracks for 2026.
