First Generation is the new single from Davy Flats which is released on Friday 19th April on Terrible Twin Records.

Produced by Tom Bright in Church Studios Crouch End, First Generation is the follow up to Davy’s previous releases; Avocado, 41 and Snowflakes which have been played by Steve Lamacq (BBC 6Music), John Kennedy (Radio X), The London Ear (RTE2XM) and The Irish Jam (Wandsworth Radio).

A mediocre drummer by trade, Davy Flats’ first dalliance into the music industry was in 2008, when he formed Strange Boats with three childhood friends. After releasing several well received singles and an album, the band took a break and Davy relocated from the West of Ireland to North London where he started writing his first songs at the age of 32. 

First Generation
'First Generation' focuses on identity and assimilation and tells the story of two young men born to immigrant parents who struggle to come to terms with their cultural backgrounds which are at odds with their everyday lives in London.
