I wrote this song with the intention of using lots of alliteration in my lyrics. I think it works well !

Nothing to Forgive .

I started learning piano when I was 12 years old, but being an avid Beatles fan, I wanted to play guitar. My parents bought a guitar for me for Christmas in 1965 and from then on, I didn’t touch a piano until the mid-80s. The first band I was in was called the ‘Breakthru’. We were the youngest band in Newcastle in 1967, with an average age of 18 and we played at community halls and under 18 gigs. At that stage we only played covers, although I had written a few songs. In a band called ‘Phoenix’, in 1980, we won the Newcastle battle of the bands, with 3 original songs I wrote. Shortly after I joined an established band called ‘Nodes Levity’. We recorded a single called ‘Lonely Winter’, with ‘In Love’ as the B side. We had local radio support (mostly for the B side).
