Comet Nishimura, also known as C/2023 P1, was first spotted falling rapidly toward the sun on Aug. 12 by amateur Japanese astronomer Hideo Nishimura. The icy object has a green glow caused by high levels of dicarbon in its coma — the cloud of gas and dust that surrounds its solid core. Nishimura has survived its close encounter with the sun and begun its journey back into the outer reaches of the solar system. Once gone, it won’t return for around 430 years.

This is a re-do of an older track from about 25 yrs ago. I originally just wanted to do a straight up remake with better sound quality & instruments, but I quickly had a 'different' idea for it, based on the title. 

THE MOVIE:
The idea is there's a movie director shooting a car chase scene, and the 'actor' playing the villain turns out to be a real villain (a mustache-twirling evil-doer in a dark cloak and wide brimmed hat) who just escaped from jail, and now he's on the run, using this movie scene as his escape cover. Calamity & mayhem ensue across the city, ending in a car crash, but the villain somehow makes his getaway, diabolically laughing at his would be captors (ya, that's me with the diabolical laugh, and all the other voices actually, except the police). But then he wakes up to the sound of his cell door slamming shut, realizing it was all a dream - like a movie in his head.

I thought some folks might find it interesting to see this thing deconstructed and evolving from 1999 original to now. Maybe not, lol.

I strongly recommend listening with headphones to get the full panning effects. The image is a combo of AI generated and cut & paste from my photos. each version is a variation of the same image.

Ambient/New age track for meditation. Technically I have used a minimalistic approach. A midi file is generated with a NodeJS/Typescript application I have written, rendered with timidity and mixed with audacity on very old laptop running puppy Linux. I have added two nature sound layers. All the rest comes from the generated midi file. Enjoy.
