A song with a message about interaction - how could you be online when your life is on the line? When one is in a poor mental state, I believe that excluding oneself by turning to technology is not healthy. This song mentions being colder in the rain - where the rain is the personalised thundercloud which hovers over individuals.

Roden Paper

This piece is inspired by Aparanthesi by John Oswald. By using a single note, John was able to convey a mood, a vibe which perfectly simulates a certain unease. I tried to replicate this vibe, all be it with a little more movement to the work. John Oswalds peice hangs on one or two major sounds throughout the piece whereas I attempted to create this feel using a variety of sounds which shift and shape themselves as the piece continues. Aparenthesi is a 31 minute long composition, and I limited myself to only 2 minutes to create this dystopian feel. My work starts off bass heavy and it ascends to a lighter part only to fall back into chaos towards the end.
