Im legendären Hotel bezieht der Erzähler Zimmer 22 und begegnet dort den Geistern der Vergangenheit: verlorene Lieder, rauchige Lacher, verblassende Schritte. Mit Anspielungen auf Cohen und Janis wird den großen Künstlern der Vergangenheit ein stiller Gruß gesendet.
