Obi Blanche - WATWC [OMBRA INTL]

Home of respected artists, such as Johannes Klingebiel (SXDNS207), Donald Dust, and Vanity Project, the interesting London-based imprint Claptrap opens its doors now for the debut release of DJ Goodboy, a young and promising German selector, producer and multi-instrumentalist who showcases his production capabilities via three well-constructed originals on his “KOKO NI KITE” EP. On the remix duty, a spot-on interpretation made with love by aforementioned Vanity Project, the label boss himself, by the way.

With previous appearances on Zone Focus, Paradiso, Eclectics, and of course Claptrap, VP brought the original to his turf, opened his toolbox of references, and came up with a more House-ish take for GB’s wobbly “Texas Queen”. Acid lines, vocal hooks, percussive elements, and trippy FXs were craftily assembled to bring to life a lively and vibrant version of an already solid cut.

After such a nice first release, we’ll be looking forward to checking the future endeavours of mischievous and misbehaved DJ Goodboy.

PREMIERE416 // DJ Goodboy - Texas Queen (Vanity Project Remix)

After years of grinding his teeth as a Rock guitarist, Joe Lewandowski started mixing in New York raves and clubs. Once back in France, he made a name for himself in the Parisian scene as a DJ and a producer. Joe has released a wide array of music, from Indie Dance to EBM or Italo, with always a distinctive sound signature, Rock-driven rhythms mixed with psychedelic textures. His music has been supported by the likes of Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin, and Laurent Garnier.

Recently, he has attracted wider recognition on a national and international level. He has been invited to play in Berlin, Tel Aviv, Mexico, and Milano in the most famous clubs and festivals. To defend his latest EP on Amsem records, Joe Lewandowski has been touring successfully with his new live act that blends his music with synths, drums machines and guitars.

Joe Lewandowski is definitely one of the artists to watch of the new French scene.

LUCYNA TAPE 01: Nowa Ziemia [LUCYNA002] is the first installment of a brand new series of compilations that tries to capture the elusive spirit of mysterious LUCYNA festival - the highly conceptual party and the holiday of half year's - an imaginary tradition that the crew tries to cultivate since 2018 experimenting with the form of an event and doing it bit different each time.


'Nowa Ziemia' - the name of one of the scenes at this year's edition - became a sort of laboratory for contemporary dance music taken beyond the obvious context of the club into the bosom of nature. Just like inclusive gatherings away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this compilation provokes reflection on dance as a form of individual expression.

Oltrefuturo is Valerio Ebert and he comes from Centroitalia/Adriatic coast. Through his music journey he invites the listeners to abandon preconceived notions of dance music and embrace the experimental, spontaneous and unstructured elements of his productions, his aim is to create a sonic world that transcends cultural, geographical and genre boundaries and encourages listeners to embrace diversity and experimentation. He Released music on Multi Culti, Haus Of Beats, Nein Records, Hard Fist, Electric Shapes and Warning (to name a few) and on Italo Moderni and Slow Motion Records as ½ of “Primo”. He even shares the stage and the studio with Treasure Island which together formedentities of various shapes: the mystical trips of Future Island (soon on Multi Culti) but even the unpredictable Eurospeed (a pitchfading project released on Fu.Me. Records.) Valerio also run a studio (Le Pianole Studio) offering mixing and mastering services.
