This time it's a new way , the piece is built  with external synths and Ipad and obviosly my dear and old Gibson SG. All the drums are from Ipad Elastic Drums specifically. I think its a wonderfull app with incredibles capabilities for creativity. But esencially the song pretend talk about one optimistic future

This song has been like carve a rock, from be bop to electronic blues.
The initial idea is from Billie's Bounce theme, a blues in F from the brilliant Charlie Parker. The alto sax idea shoud be present and I deal it sampling some original audio Parker sax and also slicing it creating a free jazz section in a atmosferic ambient. Thanks Charlie for your music I uphold it so much.

Beyond Charlie Parker

On the basis of a recording in a tape from an Ipad app , I developed  the idea using DFAM linked to Neutron, some drone created from W Blofeld, also the Microfreak sequencer and a pair of modelation pedal looking for a special guitar sound. The rest, you know, is put the stuffs on place. I've design the most of sounds of this track, it 's been worth, is fun and rewarding

The Earth's Pulse

I'am fascinated with the  possibilities  of  randomization that electronic music provide, but is a commpromise between let it flow and control, the most interesting is the surprise
The first part I assumed the compromise with a Ipad app. In 2nd and 3rd parts of the trilogy the basis is the powerful microfreak sequencer. Transitions autom. noise with effects. I got the broken and saturated guitar sound with 'guitar rig' - native instruments  wuau!! I love it.

All began with a pair of sequences recorded previosly in my microfreak after that I sync with DFAM and added some stuff more to the Launchpad sequencer It sounded pretty well and decided open Ableton.

You're Really Boring

Many of the sounds comes from Microfreak, also I've used the Ipad app ElasticDrums for rythm and Gravity another interesting Ipad app that offers controlled randomization to create some ambient in the piece center. I love it !
The solo and rythm guitar is Gibson SG with some pedal (COMP-MOD-DELAY-REV)

We Go Down The Road

I didn't intend a sad song, just a emotional touch in the music that this time should be more affordable. Usually my compositions are more experimental, this time is more predictable as she would had like it. Despite she was actually a very old person, after she left appears a blank and eventually a absence feeling.

Absence

modfne : Mother32-DFAM-Neutron, a good combination plenty of modular possibilities and surprises. I've used a pair of Ipad app's, all percussion sounds -DrumLab- and a very cool granular synth Tardigrain(I love it) for some ambients. Waldorf Blofeld for a particular sound design, and many other stuff...Guitar was recorded with a MIC in front the AMP speaker. FX: reverb and MOD and a track with distorsion at the end.

Modfne

Redoing an old work sometimes its's worth, I think the track deserved another chance. Changing some sounds, improving the mix... definetly usually we improve as a musicians and also in all the tecnic stuff and it's a shame don't try it althought it is not convenient look back very often

It's Gonna Be A Great Journey

I start with a generative patch with DFAM and Mother-32, those with many cables. For the insistent rhythm and synth pad Waldorf Blofeld. My beloved Gibson SG guitar with MXR reverb and superego from EHX. Some granular parts, noise and rare voices for create suitable ambient.

The distress of doubt

It all started with a short composition on my iPad that sounded good and I continued developing in Ableton. My beloved Gibson SG throught Guitar Rig plugin. I kept using some Ipad app for some efects, noise and rhythm  as well as Waldorf Blofeld. Wow, a puzzle...

She Doesn't Smoke

A chord progression with a simple melody is the basis for a warping exercise over the insistent rhythm provided by Moog DFAM and Neutron (behringer). I also use Bonderlands, an amazing granular iPad app, sampling part of the guitar melody.
The bass is my beloved Fender Coronado, and many other things....

Nostalgia

This is another of many versions of a popular standard jazz composed in 1932 by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein. The song was also sung by Frank Sinatra.
The purpose is to release one of my guitars, the one D'Angelico EXL
and I dedicate it to my love Mayte. She is so beautiful!

It's just a version of a U.S. folk song The Old Country. There're a lot of possibilities and different ways to approach to this beautiful song. And I've a enormous respect by do it.

It's dificuld for me writte down a particular genre, I've got multiples influences.
