Cultivated Electronics presents 'For The Floor', a new series of split 12"s on its vinyl-only sister label, CE LTD.  'For the Floor' is strictly aimed at the dance floor and showcases CE regulars alongside new artists with EPs incoming from DeFeKT, Rico Casazza, Tripeo, Cycloplex, Steve Allman, Alex Jann, Cyphon, Obzerv, Maelstrom and Sync 24 x Alienata. 

Hot on the heels of his latest release on the mighty Tresor, Irish Electro king and CE regular DeFeKT kicks off the series with two dancefloor destroyers.  'Control Your Mind' rips through with harsh distorted 808s and booming vocals while 'Fear and Body' is a spooky, funky Electro groover perfect for dark basements. 

On the flip, CE welcomes back Rico Casazza to the label.  Rico continues the Electro funk vibes with 'Here Home Us', slick beats and a bubbly bass line lay down the backbone of this peak time banger.  Things then go deep, trippy and acidic with 'Caldo', a rolling robotic groove made for the club!

Co-Accused return for their second release of 2024 with a hand picked V/A sharing sounds from some of the label’s favourite electro and techno producers. Underground legends and fearsome up-and-comers come on board to the Glasgow based label with Luke’s Anger, SOD-90, Steve Allman, Mal_Hombre and Parand delivering tracks. CR006 VA is selected for the dancefloor, tried and tested in Co-Accused's own DJ sets.

Luke’s Anger launches the EP with some up for it wonky business in ‘Choplifter’. From one of the masters of the wonky techno sound Luke’s Anger continues in full form with his tight yet askew playful beats. SOD-90 comes in next with ‘Saving Up For Botox’ with his fearless punk take on the electro sound - his own brand of high intensity atmospherics mixed with distorted synth lines, vocals and kicking breaks. Cultivated Electronics’ Steve Allman leads the B Side with ‘This is Not A Dream’ calling on driving hoover bass and haunting synths in classic UK electro style. For the B2 Mal_Hombre takes the EP down a deeper and more spatial path with ‘Triangulation’ with delicately detailed and propulsive techno, a long time friend of the label whose debut album Andromeda Outpost released on Jeff Mill’s iconic Axis Records. Topping the whole thing off Berlin based producer and Avoidant alumni Parand delivers the final hit with Bloc - a powerful, pitch black, driving heads down moment.

Continuation of the podcast series “Electro To The Masses” by Sergey Timoshov in the first independent music compilation. Including selected examples of the style, the compilation consists of 11 tracks that convey the spirit and energy of early electro, immersing the listener in sci-fi stories with a dark futuristic shade. Be careful, do not lose the connection in space and time when listening.

Each track of the compilation reflects the era of electro's ascent to the peak of popularity. Starting in the 80s, having separated from hip-hop, electro became an independent style, the sound of which formed the image of modern electronic music along with techno, house, acid and other canonical styles, while using a very ascetic set of instruments, for example, the familiar to many Roland TR-808, which became the hallmark of the style.

We are proud to present this release in our label's catalog and are especially glad to have become part of the Electro To The Masses distribution machine.
