I was walking through the field one night
Little fires started burning around
There were fox tails catching the light
And I knew that I would never be found

Out there drifting slowly backward
Into pretty smoke rings
That start where they end
I’m too lost to find explanations
For why the things we want 
Have to die to begin
And it’s not fair that we give all our love
To the little foxes
Two by two they run

The whole world comes to an end

The dust or diamond within?
