Little Shop of Horrors is a fun musical. And part of what makes it fun is the characters. Seymour, Audrey, Mushnik, and even the evil plant, Audrey II. But one character who would naturally be the most hateable character in the plan, Orin Scrivello… D.D.S., happens to have one of the most iconic songs in the musical. From the original version in the 1980’s to Steve Martin giving 100% to this role, this song’s a lot of fun. And since I’m a theater kid, who’s pretty much got a track record of playing unlikable, yet entertaining characters onstage, why wouldn’t I sing this?
