I wrote this for my dear friend and unofficial mother-in-law. It was written from the perspective of her future husband, sort of how he must have been spellbound by her quiet grace and beauty. She was a lot of fun, scary if you crossed her (like all good mothers) and I miss her!

Wrote this with a fantasy fiction theme in mind. Just imagine walking through the woods and happening across a cottage nestling amongst trees...smoke wisping out of the chimney. Knocking the door you find a welcoming chair by the fire, a tankard of warming mead and a host full of amusing stories!

I wrote this as an homage to my final year composition in 1996 which had an Egyptian theme, the cassette sleeve having heiroglyphics in the design. I imagine an oasis at night with approaching horsemen through the desert. It is to be resurrected and completed!

Atmospheric Desert excerpt

This came from absolutely nowhere on Easter Sunday 2020. I think I was angry about lockdown and the government handling of the situation. My thoughts on the matter came true as time passed and it serves as a lesson to think for yourself! I consider this piece an example of "just do it" - I wrote it, played it into Cubase and never touched it again, just exported this mp3 and it's sat around ever since.
