Having toured relentlessly for three years, alongside recording their debut album with numerous producers and in numerous studios, Clean Cut Kid decided to take a 10 month break from touring to record new music. On Wednesday 12th September, the band will mark their return with new single ‘Emily,’ taken from their upcoming ‘Painkiller’ EP out 22nd October.

The first thing the band did was head back to their native Liverpool, where they rented a pod in an old shipping factory in the Baltic Triangle area of the city, and filled it with vintage recording equipment. Once that was fully set up, they locked themselves away for months on end, getting everything up to the standard they wanted.

Mike Halls (lead singer/guitarist) was adamant that these new songs would be more personal to Clean Cut Kid, both in the themes they cover, but also to the band as a whole. Explaining this, Mike says: “I want to write about things in my life, what we’re feeling, whether they be sad or joyous. The ultimate thing is to take the deepest emotions and work it in to a message that isn’t miserable.”

Written, recorded and engineered entirely by the band, ‘Emily’ finds Clean Cut Kid deviating from their indie-pop sound of first album Felt – released last year – in to a more lo-fi, American East Coast sound, complete with 70s-inspired, fuzz guitar lines, harmonic backing vocals, a stand-alone verse from Evelyn Halls (keys) and thudding drums, with echoes of Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones and Phoebe Bridgers.

In April 2012 Rich Quick released “I'm With The DJ” Hosted by DJ NoPhrillz and Benja Styles. The first 500 physical copies of the mixtape included 1 of 5 limited edition hand drawn Hip Hop themed Art Cards. Rich included the Art Cards as a testament to Hip Hop's influence on art and pop culture. During Rich's tour promoting “I'm With The DJ” Rich performed with notable New Jersey producer Mr. Green. After the show he was approached by Jeff Davis aka Stress the White Boy. Stress and Chuck Treece, a powerhouse production duo referred to as STREECE™, began working with Rich on an EP titled “Sad Songz” from Ben Frank Recordings.
 
The work on “Sad Songz” captured the attention of multi-Grammy award winning artist, Tim "Timebomb" Armstrong of Rancid and Transplants fame. Armstrong, a longtime friend of Stress, collaborated on a track with STREECE™ and Rich Quick. The track entitled "Stay True" became part of the Tim Timebomb and Friends project and quickly became a fan favorite. Other notable collaborations are Jakk Frost, Reef the Lost Cauze, and Rakaa Iriscience (Dilated Peoples)
 
Rich was then featured in Philadelphia Weekly calling him “Philly hip-hop’s rising star”. After featureson HipHopDx.com,RespectMag.com, AllHipHop.com, DJbooth.net and numerous international websites, “Sad Songz” debuted top 40 on the iTunes Hip Hop Album charts the day of it's release.

Grey Filastine is a multimedia artist dedicated to undermining borders. His music collides electronic beat production with dense layers of voice, concréte sounds, and strings. Pitchfork says it “sounds less like `world’ music and more like music from another world.” Another world is exactly what he aims to create, using sound, video, and dance to express a radically different vision of the possible. 
Filastine’s higher education is limited to driving a taxi in the United States, where he also founded the Infernal Noise Brigade marching band to live score the 1999 revolt against the WTO in Seattle. In 2006 DJ/Rupture released Filastine’s premiere album, Burn It!, which relocated him to Barcelona and launched a decade of releases and tours. His latest AV effort, Abandon, is a video series profiling dances of emancipation, filmed in locations from coal mines in Borneo to office cubicles in America.
Filastine is foremost a performing artist, where sound, image, and ideas are embodied. He is constantly on tour, appearing at festivals like Sonar (ES), Sydney Festival (AU), Downtown Cairo Arts (EG), Decibel (US), Foreign Affairs (DE) and Mutek Tokyo (JP). But Filastine’s work sometimes doesn’t fit any stage or category, his off-piste interventions include an official mixtape for The Act of Killing documentary, a Sound Swarm at the Paris Climate Summit, or a concert in the Calais Jungle migrant camp.

DJ oGc is an sunrise artist with many experience in music history, branch and scene. 
He grews up with Hip Hop, DnB, Funk, Groove, Soul,  Ambient, Minimal, Jazz, Progressive, Tech, House, Techno,...
As organisator and lead he's accompanying several projects like Residency Leipzig, Hip Hop Fusion Festival, Urban DanceFest, Int. Artist Support,  Pure Future Music amm. Over the last years he played countless times at various events, especially underground events.

2010 he started again with djing and composing music and film.
2012 he came together with the Urban Dance Group and started to work together with international projects in Leipzig.

Back in 2004, the fusion of the sounds of soft and mystical house rhythms as well as harmonic parts inspired by trance music gave rise to the first ideas of a project that would only start to appear more actively on the edm scene a little later, a project called Jelly For The Babies.
What adorns the producer behind the above-mentioned project is the variety in his creations, playing with synths and rhythms, experimentation that eventually led to his sound being easily recognizable.
Just like his spirit, his music is not bound by genre, but is "free", and you can see the releases signed both for progressive and techno, as well as for publishing houses that cultivate the sound of deep, minimal and organic house music. .
Therefore, the very thing that makes him original leads to his music, throughout his career, being supported, both through sets and through the charts, by artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Way Out West, Guy J and many others.
Then come the first international guest appearances, tours, festivals and club parties in Lithuania, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Holland, Italy as well as countries in the region.
Graduated Audio & Video engineer as well as the owner of three publishing houses, The Purr, One Of A Kind and RYNTH, where he mentioned discovering new talents, giving young producers a chance, promoting them in the best possible way and mutual cooperation with more experienced colleagues as the key thing .

If I had to define my existence, it would not be written in a book, but played through notes in life over the years.
