2. But Lord through my attainments, my introspective self
Arises as excluding wall to build
I long for my perfection, my little foxes loose.
Lord free me from the self, fulfill Your plan.
Take me to the cross
In the rough clefts of the rock I would remain
By Your resurrection pow'r empowers me
And encourage me to rise and come away, 

Then I'm conformed (in union, I'm)
To the death of Christ (Your bed, palanquin,)
Experience (espoused to be)
Resurrection life (one with Solomon)
Move with God,
As a steady pillar of smoke, like God! 

3. Continue, Lord, to call me that I would be in You
To live in Your ascension, high above.
As God's new creation in resurrection that
My Christ in many aspects I'll enjoy.

While we fight the enemy
Enjoy Christ in His death, resurrection and ascension, Spirit, too. 

I then become (with a spring shut up)
A rich garden, full (and with fountain sealed)
Of choicest fruits, (the north wind wakes,)
And chief spices flow (and the south wind blows)
Exuding Christ —
Fragrant garden for the Triune God 

4. A sanctuary — Tirzah, Jerusalem its guard
Still has a separating veil, the flesh.
So deeper still You call me to live within the veil
That stronger cross I would experience now.
For Your grace to me is sufficient, it supplies abundantly
To enter into the Holiest place of all
Hidden manna, budding rod and inner law 

I then become (so spiritual,)
Heaven's moon and sun (and so heavenly)
God's army — fight (we terrify)
Overcome as one; (our enemy.)
