Nu Jazz and Electro Funk are two genres of music that have emerged as part of the evolution of jazz and funk music. Nu Jazz blends traditional jazz elements with electronic sounds and production techniques, resulting in a unique and modern sound that appeals to a younger audience. Electro Funk, on the other hand, combines the funky rhythms and grooves of traditional funk music with electronic elements such as synthesizers and drum machines, creating a high-energy and danceable genre. Both genres are known for their innovative approach to music-making and their ability to push the boundaries of traditional jazz and funk music. Overall, Nu Jazz and Electro Funk demonstrate the creativity and experimentation that can be found within contemporary music genres.

Either way, this track is supposed to emphezise how Breakbeat and all of it's daughter genres came to be. Breakbeat is a genre of electronic music characterized by its syncopated rhythm and use of drum breaks, was born out of the merging of various musical styles in the late 1970s. Its origins can be traced back to the innovative techniques of DJ Kool Herc, who is credited with popularizing the concept of "breakbeat" by isolating and looping the rhythmic sections of funk and soul records during his legendary block parties in the Bronx. This technique was further developed by early hip-hop pioneers like Grandmaster Flash and Afrika Bambaataa, who manipulated drum machines and turntables to create new and exciting beats. Over time, breakbeat evolved into its own distinct genre, influencing a wide range of electronic music styles such as jungle, drum and bass, and breakcore. In essence, breakbeat was invented through a combination of experimentation, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the rhythm and groove of music.

At the end of the track, there is a glimpse of this, as nothing changes except a sequence and a bassline put over a break which is very typical to funky.

This track is part of the musical docuementary and album 'Rave Resonance' and it's a homage to breakbeat, funky and jazz including all of it's subgenres.
