A Secret Breeze For Her

An epilogue to the human race. Why do we so firmly believe that our species will survive? Over 99% of species that roamed the earth in the course of the past 4 billion years have vanished again. We only know of them, when we examine the fossile record. So, chances are (unfortunately) very high, that also we will become extinct some time and our memories are only preserved in the depths of the earth. 
Also, the Fermi Paradox (see, e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNhhvQGsMEc) leaves us puzzled why we see no other forms of life in the universe. 
Let us not get extinct! (and, on a personal note, I think, the  travelling to Mars is not exactly the solution to ensure the survival of our species. Rather, it is, not ruining our wonderful home planet)

Compositionwise, the piece is structured in four parts. 
Part 1, introduces the lamenting theme, first in a very basic relaxed fashion with slow accompaniment and then becoming a tad more agitated. The chromatically descending accompaniment underlines the mournful mood. The second half of the part starting @0:24 is a bit more consoling but keeps the overall spirit. The other three parts (starting @ 0:48, 1:31, 2:15) are variations of the main theme with the last part leading @2:40 into the end that leaves more questions than answers)

The VST piano used for this recording was the Nils Frahm Noire (not the felt version) which I slightly brightened up to have more of the singing overtones.

The present virtual recording was produced using Finale 27.4.1 and the Garritan Personal Orchestra 5 virtual instrument library. Mastering was done by EMastered. For the best listening experience, high quality headphones are recommended. 

Instrumentation:
Flute. Oboe, Bb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn in F, Trumpet in C, and Strings

Performance notes:
• Tempo, expression, and dynamic markings should be strictly observed.
• There is no key signature. Accidentals apply to the end of the measure or to the note or notes tied over the measure, and only to notes of the same pitch class, in the same octave.
• Hairpin pairs (e.g.: mp <>, mf ><) indicate a temporary volume change of one dynamic level.
• Passages marked fff or ppp indicate playing as loudly and as quietly as possible, respectively.
• Double-bass “C-extension” is required.

Synopsis du film:
Justin Radin, comptable de formation et responsable des plans d’affaires pour l’entreprise Bidouille & fils, était spécialiste des coûts de fabrication et d’assemblage. Tout était calculé au centime près et les achats étaient optimisés à la perfection en plus d’être minimisés. Mais voilà, ses nouveaux patrons, des milléniaux nées avec un iPhone 18 Pro Super Max dans leurs mains et accros des réseaux sociaux comme Swiffer, Analphabet et FakeBook lui ont montré la direction de la retraite « BIEN MÉRITÉE » disaient-ils. Disons plutôt un bel exemple d’âgisme. Justin Radin a économisé toute sa vie pour ses vieux jours, mais n’était pas prêt à profiter de sa retraite en plus de ne plus savoir comment dépenser et se faire plaisir. Heureusement, il fait la rencontre de la très charmante et dépensière Mercedes, qui de toute évidence changera sa vie.

Justin Radin, an accountant by training and responsible for business plans for the company Bidouille & fils, was a specialist in manufacturing and assembly costs. Everything was calculated to the nearest cent and purchases were perfectly optimized in addition to being minimized. But there you have it, his new bosses, millennials born with an iPhone 18 Pro Super Max in their hands and addicted to social networks like Swiffer, Analphabet and FakeBook showed him the direction of “WELL-DESERVED” retirement, they said. Let’s rather call it a fine example of ageism. Justin Radin saved his entire life for his old age, but was not ready to enjoy his retirement, in addition to no longer knowing how to spend and treat himself. Fortunately, he meets the very charming and spendthrift Mercedes, who will clearly change his life.

Hey everyone - Mr Spotty Book and I thought we'd quickly rattle off a chirpy little choon to try and capture the global mood of the moment.  You're welcome!

By rather clever use of an unedited, zero production, rough one-shot take, a woefully failing voice and the virtuoso  touch of a buzzing string, I think I've successfully managed to impart an air of total amateurishness to the piece.  A level of rustic backwoods front porch authenticity that them there pro's can only dream of.... :)

This is the story of a conman who became president of his country by mistake or mishap. Who knows. His government cabinet is filled of idiots secretaries telling him every morning how good a leader he is and the hundreds of millions of lives he saved because of his drugs policy and so ON and so ON to the point that he believe all the BS and flattery they tell him. Unfortunately for him the rest of the world leaders are well educated.  Moreover they posses the obligation bonds of the commercial debt of the country of this conman president. Does he really have all the good cards in his hands to start a commercial war against the world? We shall see!

Musical notes: It is not clear if the “Fanfare for the Common Cold” by P.D.Q. Bach (1807-1742)? Exhumed by The Professor Peter Schickele was written before or after the “Fanfare for the Common Man” by Aaron Copland in 1942. Something sure is that the “Fanfare for the Common Conman” by Syrel was written in 2025 and should be considered just as a Corny Joke.

The latest Texas Tea monster is loose.  This one started with a cool funky stroll inside of Terry's world and I enhanced it with some e-bow and a nice side of distorted groove here and there.  Terry with the composition, synth, beats and mix and me on the guitar machine.

Talking about our lifetime

I watched the latest Jurassic Park film "Jurassic World: Rebirth," but it featured Natasha Romanoff from the Avengers and alien-like dinosaurs, making it feel not very much like Jurassic Park.
To relieve that frustration, I decided to play the theme song.
