Silhouette

Like the fjord, edging my eye
Material reward can pass me by.
Ice to sea, slowly but sure,
Floating free, flowing pure.
Whispered smile, bears no regret,
Ponder a while, on life’s silhouette.

Solace of breeze, whiffles my hair.
All at ease, by waters fair.
Mirrored of cloud, sparkled of sun,
Where two is a crowd, I’ve a table for one.
Nature’s fine art, devoid of defect,
Embraces my heart, through life’s silhouette.

Treasured time, in mind’s recall.

Between writing sermons as a small-town pastor, I was also engaged in writing songs, some you have heard in my "Scenes of St. Francis". This particular song came to me after reading an article about love and marriage--ministers do a lot of reading for sermon preparation--but this one knocked me a bit sideways.  Turns out men on average will fall in love between five and seven times before meeting their wife, and then 1-1/2 times afterward!  This song is about the 1-1/2 times afterward, a little different kind of love song for Valentine's Day. 
I have sat on the text and melody for over forty years but thought I better do something before time overtook it as it had overtaken my singing voice.  I heard Axel sing in his magnificent song with Sarah Paradise-Brown "What We Still Feel" and felt he could give the song the vocal it needed, an international voice of "everyman".  When he received the guitar parts he set to work on it and gave the song a stunningly beautiful orchestral setting as well.  Thank you dear Axel for lavishing your vocal and orchestral skills on a song that needed both. I am deeply honored and indebted.  Hear more of Axel's beautiful music @axel-m-501052973.

Emily’s exciting career at « Candeur Advertising » brought her in Cordoba. As usual she takes selfies everywhere anytime all over the place. After the visit of Córdoba’s Mosque-Cathedral she looked at the selfies she’s been taken and found that one of the selfie she probably mistakenly took had the face of  her brother but made of wood. The choir stalls where his face was pictured is located across from the altar, which was crafted during the 18th century and were executed by Pedro Duque Cornejo. Could it be that Emily's ancestors were Spanish?

Octavius Stradivarius was born in Transylvania and lived during his youth in the Bran Castle, marketed outside Romania as Dracula's Castle. Being shy but as well a violin virtuoso, he recently accepted the job of first violin for the national philharmonic orchestra of Dildo in NewFoundland. He was performing marvelusly every night at the concerts providing exciting and bold performances. However, the artistic director of the orchestra decided to schedule during a nice and sunny afternoon a concert for the gay pride of Dildo. But where is Octavius? He was supposed to play Syrel’s violin concerto in B Sharp Major.

Jacques Tati created in 1953 Mr Hulot, a lightly neuro-atypical, non-pathological character, defined by heightened sensitivity and human warmth, used as a mirror to expose the absurdity of modern society.

This short movie transport Mr Hulot from 1953 to 2026 to show what modern life does to people. Computers, SmartPhones, Social Medias, ATM, Artificial intelligence, Autonomous driving Cars and so on will overwhelm him big time and show how insane things are getting.
