This is a song about the Rangers and the battle of La Drang valley 1965.  The song is written in GI slang from Vietnam.  This song includes first hand accounts from my Uncle George Long who landed in LZ Falcon and had to hump it over to LZ X-Ray at about 3 AM.  My father Bryan Long, was also in country during the battle and we believe was at battalion HQ during the fighting.
