“The concept for Filetofsoul music began in 1988 with a collection of music sent to the Library Of Congress for copyright entitled, “Filetofsoul: Music For The Mind’s Eye”….The first recordings were done on a Fostex 4 track cassette recorder. The birth of the mp3 file and the advancement of the internet allowed a much broader platform for marketing of independent music. The original platform for distribution paid indie artists 5 cents per listen and 25 cents per download. The audience was predominately international so I had the idea to write a series of instrumental pieces descriptive musically of the song title,-Impressionistic music. Adding songs to multiple genres across the platform of distribution resulted in the eclectic nature of the Filetofsoul music collection. The music contains a broad swath of talented musicians on a variety of tracks, each emulating the style of the specific piece. Filetofsoul had always been a recording project until 2007, at which point a live presentation was developed with a concert video. Initially, it was a challenge to interpret studio compositions with multiple overdubs into a live format. Ultimately, the ‘Filetofsoul Project’ performed over three hours of original music in a trio format. With Cary Roberts handling the electric guitar parts and Michael McNair on Drums and Percussion, the live performances along with a conceptual video on a projection screen exceeded all expectations. I'm using SoundCloud as the main distribution method for shows I've recorded at my venue, The Agency. 

The Agency is a live performance / production venue, or multifunctional event space that is located in Albuquerque NM. Since the doors opened in March 08, we've been hosting many shows ranging from poetry slams to burlesque reviews. 

Being the sound engineer I am, I was very eager to record all music shows at The Agency in the spirit of Bill Graham Presents (Fillmore West). I wanted to achieve two things - embrace new technology (such as SoundCloud) and also offer local and touring bands a high quality, multi-track recording of their performance. This has been a trial by fire effort as I'm constantly refining my procedure. 

Every band that has performed at The Agency has given me their nod of approval to record them. With this blessing, I have set forth to mix down the recordings into stereo tracks and use SoundCloud to share them with the bands. 

This is my first "test set" here on SoundCloud. By having the inherent distribution services of SoundCloud, my correspondence with the bands I've hosted has become easier. I can upload entire performances a wave file (nice!) to the cloud and invite the bands to come listen to the recording... and the icing on the cloud cake is the ability to drop comments right onto the timeline (one unique feature I am thrilled over). No more emailing back and forth with the bands just to dial in vocal compression, or bring up the keys in the mix... plus, ALL the band members can comment on the recording... I'm really digging this!

Antonio "Akitak Uzu" Woods Jr. is a 32 Year Old Music Producer from Memphis,TN. He has 13 years of experience in the field and produced for unsigned and independent artists. The genres he produce is Krump, R&B, Trap, Hip-Hop, and Soul. He started producing music on November of 2010 under the moniker "Badmadstreet" which is six months after he graduated high school because he was inspired by his best friend and mentor Marquez "SoulayKami" Alexander. He first started using is grandad's PC at the time.

In the Spring of 2011, he started making trap beats and bought a laptop after applying to Southwest Tennessee Community College In Memphis,TN. He competed in a online beat tourney hosted by Asis Galvin called, ''Asis Galvin's Battle of the Beats'' but was eliminated in the first round but enter again in 2012 and in 2013. In the fall of 2011, he produced his first singles for an artist named Odell Lancaster for his mixtape titled, ''Revenge''. In the Winter of 2012, He joined a production team called ''Da Bassicks'' lead by Randy "R.E.T. On The Beat" Thomas. On Feburary of 2013, He signed a contract with Khyng-Jayden Productions and became the Vice-President 2 months later. He then left Khyng-Jayden Productions on good terms in 2016. 

In February of 2017, he started his live streaming journey on Twitch as a way to showcase his talent while playing his favorite games but left the platform for YouTube in December of 2021 due to not enforcing policies, increased amount of ads, and being political. During his time on the platform, he became a Twitch Affiliate in 2018, he's one of the first content creators making music production content, raised money for charity event and had a front page slot on the platform. As of today, he still makes content on Youtube and other platforms. 

In 2019, he went to a event hosted by Roger "Kingpin Da Composer" Rowe and his production crew "Steaksawse" which includes him, Larod "LJIS Productions" Jones & Deminicus McKinnon called "Sawse Sessions" which is like a town hall for music producers and artists alike and shocked the whole room. From there, he started entering into the Let's Get Loud: Beat Battle/Beat Showcase by the same group later in the year.
