MUSIC//FOR//SAD//PEOPLE is an indie alt band from Houston, Texas. The group was founded by Brett Fitzpatrick during the summer of 2018 however the group’s progress in releasing music online was halted by the 2020 pandemic. Eventually they released their first single in 2021. The group’s first single was BIGLOUD!, followed by THE DRIVE, and then I WISH I COULD GO ON WITHOUT YOU. 
Since the release of their debut record //SELF-TITLED// in April of 2022 it has reached over half a million streams across all platforms and continues towards one million. The record is an alt rock focused blend of music that ranges from ballads, to punk rock, acoustic, and electronic music. Since the release the group has played multiple live shows, done interviews, been featured on podcasts and in magazines and recently released their first music video. 
Going forward the band plans multiple EPs and albums, and to finish out the music videos for the first album.
