This is the first EP of The Bunkers, a rock-quintet formed in early 2018, hailing from Helsinki, Finland. Our original idea of playing new wave garage rock has quickly evolved into a quirky, genre-breaking mix of krautrock, post-punk, garage and even psychedelia. 

With two Stratocasters under heavy coatings of effects and distortion, a rumbling bass and drum backline supporting the not-your-middle-of-the-road vocal melodies, the different elements come together into songs that are hard to categorize but easy to nod your head to. Maybe if the Dead Kennedys had played a gig featuring King Crimson covers in late 80’s Berlin, there would be a point of comparison to what our music has become.
