purple tears is a very real reflection of where Crystal's at today, she
still has a long way to go in terms of turning her dreams into reality,
but it's taking longer than expected - and she's getting frustrated...
Crystal realises that she's not in competition, she's on her own lane,
except the only difference now is that she's speeding!

This track not only reminds listeners of the colour purple, but it also resembles feelings of both hopelessness and hopefulness. Crystal is racing towards her full potential, however she also doesn't want to be left behind. In purple tears, she wants this "boy" to take her wherever he goes, and make her "smile", however, this "boy" is actually a metaphor for herself. Self-encouragement and self-belief means everything, especially when you're hopelessly crying purple tears.

Tatsurō Yamashita (Yamashita Tatsurō (山下 達郎?)) est un chanteur-compositeur et producteur de disques japonais né le 4 février 1953 à Ikebukuro (Tokyo) au Japon. Il est particulièrement connu pour la chanson Christmas Eve, vendue à plus de 1,8 million d'exemplaires1, considérée comme un standard des chansons de Noël au Japon, qui apparaît sur son album Melodies en 1983. Oh yes what a day this was! Ultimate vibe on the Eveyln Rooftop launching the Turner Street Sound record...these guys killed it for over 3 hours so we are stoked to share this mix with you for #64...some more words from Rory and Ryan below

"This is the recording from the Butter Sessions Turner Street Sound 12" launch on the Evelyn Rooftop. In a classic Loose Joints b2b style, Ryan and I played records for almost 4 hours weaving through a host of bpms and records that inspired our 'Bunsen's Volume 1' record.  The TSS sound has a strong UK influence which can be heard in full effect here but you can also hear a host of unreleased and local productions littered throughout the mix which share an equal influence over our approach to music production and our selections.  The recording quality and mixing is far from perfect however it captures the fun and energy of the afternoon which had everyone in attendance having a proper dance.  Enjoy Turner Street Sound dropping Bunsen's at our most relaxed and open minded."
