John Marshall performs on concert stages, radio, television, and film both nationally and internationally. He includes the drumming traditions of the Middle East, North and South India, Egypt, West Africa, the Caribbean, and Central Asia in his repertoire. Performing on frame drums, tabla, doumbek, tombak, djembe, congas, riq, pandiero, mbira, conventional Western percussion, and all manner of hand-held percussion, John Marshall's music has been featured on National Public Radio's All Things Considered, Echoes, Hearts Of Space, PBS Television and the British Broadcasting Company (BBC).

Sponsored by the Cooperman Drum Company , Precision Drum Company and Claydrum Udus, and Hamid Alwan Arabic Percussion, John tours the country with his adult seminar and Workshop Series , performs through Young Audiences of America, Armstrong Chamber Enrichment Series, ASAP After School Arts Program, Arts Magnet School Systems, Hartford Intercity Arts Outreach, and during the summer of 2004, was Percussion Instructor in Residence at the Punahou School in Hawaii. He performs with the classical/jazz/world ensemble Ufonia, composes for and performs with numerous percussion groups, including Framework, and WoMaDe, and is much sought after in the freelance arena. He has released his own CDs featuring his original compositions, and is at work on creating online hand percussion instruction for Warner Brothers/Alfred. Currently, John enjoys performing with the experimental improvisational trio Bridges and Poems, which includes composer/guitarist Robert Weinstein and woodwind player Paul Butler. Additionally, he is studying traditional composition/performance technique of North Indian Tabla with Subhankar Banerjee and Narendra Budhakar. John holds degrees from New York University in religious literature and did his graduate work at Weslyan University in Ethnomusicology where his principal teachers were Royal Hartigan and Abraham Adzenyah. John further studied at the Mannes School in New York, and the Manhattan School of Music where he was taught by Paul Price, Norman Grossman, Glen Velez and Elvin Jones.


A highly accomplished New York City DJ, Ray Velasquez is historically widely recognized as the godfather of post disco era DJ culture of his native Kansas City , and as a tireless arbiter and torchbearer of advanced music worldwide. 

As Kansas City's cultural provocateur in clubs, on radio, and in print since 1983, Ray helped introduce, nurture, and elevate from the underground into the mainstream genres from 80's post punk, synth-pop, alternative rock, industrial dance, and acid house, Madchester, and acid jazz, to indie, shoegaze, techno, rave, drum & bass, ambient,  deep house, downtempo, and Brazilian, Latin, and jazz kissed lounge electronica. 

Although fiercely proud of his Kansas roots, Ray's early career as a DJ, artist, and music journalist was irrevocably linked to New York City music, art, culture, and nightlife, from his first visits  throughout the '80's  attending the New Music Seminars, dancing until dawn at Danceteria and The World, seeing New Order at the Paradise Garage, Madonna at the Ritz, the Beastie Boys at the Cat Club, and being waved past the velvet rope at Red Zone by NYC nightlife impresario Steven Lewis who would gleefully shout, "Hey Kansas! I spent a year in Kansas one night!".

Ray's  first NYC DJ gig was playing with Paul Oakenfold and Josh Wink at the Building in '90. Numerous club and rave gigs followed throughout the 90's with the likes of Keoki, Moby, Dmitry from Deee-lite,and Doc Martin.
 
But perhaps the most anomalous and even surrealistic association with New York City culture experienced before he relocated to NYC in '99 is with William S. Burroughs who resided for years on the Bowery in an apartment notoriously known as "The Bunker".   In the 80's Mr. Burroughs left New York City and moved to Lawrence, Kansas where he lived out his remaining years.  Mr. Burroughs passed away in '97, and Ray was commissioned to program the music for his wake.  He actually DJ'd behind the open casket of the iconic Beat Generation writer on the stage of a 19th century opera house in Lawrence, Kansas.

Ray even DJ'd an erotic ball whose events had been televised on HBO's "Real Sex". Essentially an orgy, he literally generated the aural lubrication for a room full of swingers enjoying public sex at a private event, which is kind of funny considering that Ray often describes what he does as "generating cultural lubrication for deeper penetration".

Whether playing bossa nova and samba electronica on Ipanema Beach in Rio De Janeiro, deep house and downtempo poolside at private extravaganzas in Tel Aviv or the Turks Caicos Islands, ambient electronica in the chill out tents at raves hidden deep in a Wisconsin forest or a Kansas field, ferocious and nihilistic post punk, disco pogo at a beer soaked basement dive bar in the Lower Eastside, or deep and voluptuous house and techno at an urban rooftop cocktail party blanketed beneath a starry New York City sky, Ray's mission is multi-tiered:

THE FEARLESS SOUND CORPORATION (TFSC)
MANIFESTO:

-We don´t follow trends , our main purpose is to experiment with sound, rhythm, composition, arrangement, recording, post production...and integrate those processes into a unique form of making music where composition, performing, arranging, recording, mixing and sound design melt into one.

-We are a multiform entity. a channel to ideas and an ideological instrument. the end that justifies its own means.
musically and ideologically autonomous. With experimentation as one of its most important foundations and also as the prime directive of this musical venture.

-We reject easyness in our creative process as we perform a conservative task. approaching as Sound Artisans to it. while we program
our own sequences and design our own sounds. we culture the art-science of sound synthesis and creative sampling.

-From this creative frame, band´s conceptualization integrates the most diverse influences: from the most classical rock musico to experimental approaches.
As a musical entity we don't believe in any other motivation to make music that the devotion to music itself as a form of art and discipline.

Probably the open minded attitude of Lafont & Fer Go had to do a lot with their work behaviors... to minimize the human presence and exalt the use of synthesizers, sequencers, samplers and vocoders as their main tools for the FSC. Not a political trend, they operate as far as posible from alien tendencies.


The "germ" of the fearless sound had its beginnings when Lafont answered to a call for drummers from a local band for which Fer Go was already part of. This initiative did never crystalize until after a number of sessions, more and more frequent, where both musicians used their skills, improvise and came to the fearless sound that they are now known for. The fruit of the sessions, the hard word and constant tinkering of Lafont and Fer Go is what had resulted in this album


The band rejects the easiness of the new era and tries to keep the dedication and truthfulness as sound artisans; through the use of their own sounds and sequences...cultivating art and focusing in the sampling of a more creative manner.

From this creative and ideological framework the conceptualization of the band admits the diverse influences... from the common origins to the new vanguards, and is from this pallet of sounds and elements that FSC distils their code.


As an entity of musical character, the FSC does not recognize as legit any motivation that strides off from the art and catharsis of the music itself

In 2010 arises in the electronic scene, a musical project called: DUALL FUSION, a pair of DJs formed by a Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, and the mixture worked very well! Because the quality of its diverse repertoire, his consistent performances and the public increasingly faithful, the project was gaining strength, fame and prestige in the middle of EDM. In October 2012, invited to attend the Feast of the City program, which airs every Saturday on Radio City JF, live mixing, called public attention to the quality of their repertoire, increasing and the program's audience, then considered getting radio coordination of praise. In December 2012, we were invited to attend the DJ Sound Awards White Party, the event is regarded as the greatest prize of electronic music in Latin America. Already in 2013, won the award for Breakthrough House Music Brazil in 2014 won the home of one of the best night points in Buzios, the Anexo Bar Buzios. Today, through which captivate new fans and followers of his work ... The musical project strolling through the Deep House, House and Electro House ... Always with research and innovation, DUALL FUSION promises great performances in the events that present themselves.

Natalia Fuchs is new media researcher, art historian and international curator. She was graduated from the University of Manchester (MA Cultural Management) and from the Danube University (MA MediaArtHistories) in Austria. 

Between 2009 and 2013, she was developing the Media Forum at the Moscow International Film festival, and the contemporary art fair VIENNAFAIR. In 2013 Natalia has founded art relations practice ARTYPICAL, and then was appointed as Curator of the Polytechnic Museum (Moscow)—where apart from the exhibitions (Earth Lab co-curated with Ars Electronica, On the Origin of the New at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and others), she curated Polytech.Science.Art interdisciplinary program in 2013-2016. In 2015 program received diploma of the Ministry of Culture as "The best educational museum project". 

In 2016-2018 Natalia Fuchs was curator, head of the multimedia art department and deputy director of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, Russia, where she launched TECHNE platform for innovative art. Starting from 2017, Natalia is also teaching Media Art History at the Moscow State University (World Art History department).

In 2018-2020 she was curator and co-producer of Gamma Festival and Gamma_Pro, international conference on art and technology (Saint Petersburg, Russia). In 2019-2020 she was creative director for for MUTEK Arab Emirates, the festival of electronic music and digital creativity. She is curating and co-producing international Laboratories of art and technology - such as Gamma_LAB AI (2019) for Gamma Festival and Mutek.JP AI Music Lab for MUTEK Japan (2019). Natalia Fuchs is creator of MUTEK AI Art Lab (2020) by the invitation of MUTEK Montreal. Besides curating, Natalia is producing own AV performances (behaviours w/Sonia Cillari, 2015) and video-artworks (Times Connection for Everyday Transformations, 2018). 

Her latest international projects include an exhibition of technological art "Open Codes - Living in Digital Worlds" at the ZKM Center for Art and Media in Germany (co-curated with Peter Weibel), anniversary exhibition of CTM Festival in Berlin "Persisting Realities" and INPUT annual international digital art symposium of the Lunchmeat Festival at the National Gallery in Prague, Czech Republic. Also she worked as Advisor for Barbican Centre (London, UK) for the Artificial Intelligence exhibition "AI: More Than Human" that was launched in 2019.

Currently Natalia Fuchs is Director of Media Art Center for research and methodology in Moscow, Creative Producer at the Department of Culture of Moscow, and curator of TRANSART Festival of contemporary culture (Bolzano, Italy). Since 2020 she is member of IKT International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art.

Arash Zanganeh was born in Tehran in 1976. He is a Persian percussionist, composer and teacher whose work draws on Sufi traditions and Iranian folkloric music from regions such as Kurdistan, Kerend, Kermanshah, Systan and Baluchistan. Arash’s father, Ali Asghar Khan Zanganeh was an esteemed Iranian instrument maker and advocate of traditional Iranian music. Arash graduated with a Degree in Fine Arts from the Science and Cultural University of Tehran 2004 and since then he has continued to research traditional folk, classical and devotional music.

Arash’s interest in world music was ignited by his participation in the Oriental Music Exchange (Tajali Program) in India sponsored by the Iranian Cultural Attaché in New Delhi in 2000. In the same year his recording with the great female mystic Abida Parveen, and the recording project Rumi in the Land of Khusrau in honour of Jalāl ad‐Dīn Muhammad Balkhī and Amir Khusrau Dehlavi in India, also inspired his passion for devotional music.

Arash is one of the founders of The Sufi Art Group with the goal of preserving art and culture of the east. The Sufi Art Group believes that the needs of people for art aren’t best classified through thought, class and pleasure. Rather, peoples’ art needs are met through the sublime and through salvation from materialistic life. 

Arash has been an international member in Silk Road Ensemble supported by Indiana University Departments (USA), 2010.
