The FRA! band is a group of young people from different backgrounds united by one language; the language of music. The name “Fra” comes from the Akan word which means “mix” and this is an analogous representation of the elements of fusion which is found in our music. The music we produce is hinged on technical prowess, melodic phrasings and progressive roots based on our afrocentric heritage. 

TSIE, formerly known as Daddo Gyan, is a self-taught singer-songwriter and producer based in Accra. His music artfully fuses folk imagery with a spectrum of influences, including doo-wop, soul, palmwine, highlife, blues, and reggae - resulting in a genuinely raw and heartfelt style. 

His musical journey began with a profound love for music, taking an intriguing turn as he pursued a BFA degree in film production across the vibrant cities of Accra, Johannesburg, and Helsinki.

Drawing inspiration from his formative years spent within his father's recording studio and participation in the church band, TSIE has honed his craft. His distinctive raspy vocals and evocative guitar chords are the instruments through which he masterfully conveys captivating short stories. As TSIE gains acclaim within the music industry, his authentic narratives and storytelling prowess have not only entranced audiences but have also led to the inclusion of some of his songs in award-winning cinema.

I've always loved art... Unfortunately I can't express myself with paint... But after being introduced to Fruity Loops 3 in 2003, FL Studio became my canvas ever since... Expressing myself through my music, painting my pictures through my notes and using my melodies and progressions to tell my story.
