Duo from Johannesburg, South Africa formed in September 2014 consisting of guitarist/producer/composer Manqoba Mkhushulwa of @glassboxmusic and Season in collaboration with lyricist/composer/vocalist Thato Tsotetsi.

Following an intense conversation regarding the direction of progressive and alternative music, the two decided to try a hand at what was first dubbed a musical project aimed at exploring what two unrelated cultures can create, the result became a progressive mix of alternative rock, ska, electronic soul, progressive rock, electro pop, alternative hip hop, trip hop, downtempo and dubstep elemental music reflective of an intricate mash up of various musical influences that were otherwise thought to be jarring. 

Enjoy the fruits of insomnia, partying and consgtant arguing of these two crammed into an hopefully cohesive effort aptly titled "Suite #206", after the hotel room wherein most of the sounds were created.

Alcuna Wilds was a British/Dutch band based in the Netherlands. The band created atmospheric trip-rock music, combining ambient soundscapes, driving beats and strong melodic riffs, with rich, melancholic vocals and observant, reflective lyrics. Formed of members from both sides of the North Sea, their diverse influences contributed to their distinctive sound. Their last EP ‘Nothing Is Nothing’ was released on 25th January 2019.

Between 2015 and 2020 the band chalked up more than 100 shows throughout the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Belgium. These included performances at some of the Netherlands’ top music venues, such as AFAS Live (Amsterdam), Vera (Groningen), Patronaat (Haarlem), Ekko (Utrecht) and Hedon (Zwolle), and at festivals such as Greenbelt Festival (UK), Stroud Fringe Festival (UK), Bevrijdingsfestival Amsterdam (NL), La Truite Magique (BE), Surfana (NL), and Popronde (NL). The band supported national and international acts, such as Sigur Ros (IS), Still Corners (UK), Gallops (UK), Thought Forms (UK), Dralms (CA), Sea Change (NO), Tears & Marble (NL) and Throws (UK). In January 2019 the band were invited to perform at the European showcase festival Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen to promote their new EP.

Mattski is a righteous sea-breeze of evocative, hook-filled, sometimes foot-stomping, sometimes reflective tunes. Proudly original, his music stomps, hollers, grooves and cajoles from a deep and stark sense of place and myriad questions about tomorrow.
It’s a trip to the Mississippi delta via Jamaica, through the rich jungle of acoustic funk, around the culs-de-sac of punky self sufficiency and folk ethos; planted in salt water, run through Mallee scrub and left to mature taking in the many moods of the Southern Ocean.
Mattski is profoundly influenced by a sense of place – from the sand between our toes to dusty inland highways and the lapping of an ocean on the beach, to a dark corner of a bar or a morning café table. It’s music of contradictions – sophisticated lyrics, solos, riffs and hooks fused with deep grooves and a whole lot of dirt under the fingernails!
Debut release Ramshackle Beach is filled with questions, evocative notes, slide guitar growls and sweet acoustic melodies with a range of textures and moods; from the mellow to that of the Wounded Elk Blues.
The theme is refined on Horizon For A Friend, which is filled with hooks, dynamics, thoughtful lines and a train-like rootsy momentum. The guitar playing is at times sweet and at times searing; with deep resonator stomp blues meeting sweet solo reggae and flat out acoustic wizardry that has wowed audiences in bars, cafes, festivals, surf clubs and more!
To some, it’s “kick arse blues”. To some, it’s “really slaying it up there”. To some, it’s “amazing songs…you wrote those?” To some, it’s “really grooving”. To many, it’s easy to dance to. From the age of ten MINISTER DERELL EDDINGS, after his mother and father split for good, was raised by his mother by herself. MINISTER DERELL, the youngest of five children (4 boys and 1 girl), was profoundly affected by the split of his mother and father. The absence of a father left a huge void: mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, within MINISTER DERELL. What kept MINISTER DERELL from completely turning to dangerous alternatives to fill that void: gangs, drugs, meaningless sex, the streets, was the understanding of MINISTER DERELL’S mother that in order for her and her children to survive they had to stay close to GOD.


MINISTER DERELL’S mother took him and his siblings to Church on a regular basis. Going to Church allowed MINISTER DERELL to be around not only strong men but strong men of GOD. MINISTER DERELL was able to see what true manhood was all about. Being around those strong men of GOD gave MINISTER DERELL the opportunity to see that submitting your life to GOD, and accepting Jesus Christ into your life, does not make one a weak man. That in fact it makes one strong.


At the age of 13 MINISTER DERELL realized that he had the gift to write: the gift to write songs, raps, poetry, prayers and stories. However, like many young Christian teenagers MINISTER DERELL was trying to live on both sides of the fence. He was trying to walk with Jesus and live for the world at the same time. As a result, many of MINISTER DERELL’S early writings were not truly reflective of his faith, nor were they truly reflective of what GOD had chosen him to do. At the age of 17 MINISTER DERELL made a conscious decision to completely give his life to GOD and accept Christ totally into his life.


At the age of 21 MINISTER DERELL began to study to become a MINISTER and soon there after was licensed as MINISTER in the Church of GOD in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.). MINISTER DERELL has spent the last 8 yrs studying, being groomed by Church Elders, learning, nurturing his gifts, falling down and getting back up again. MINISTER DERELL has faced many obstacles: losing his mother, brother, grandmother, and best friend, and being homeless with a wife and three children to provide for all in a three year period. But all those struggles have taken MINISTER DERELL to where he is now: a published author and poet, a YOUTH MINISTER and mentor, a father and husband. It was well worth the trip.



Born in the heart of a dormant volcano, musician Timothy Hurley grew up in a musical household in Rossland, BC. His music is a fusion of soul, roots and, reggae and is inspired both by his Caribbean and British roots, and musical influences like Neil Young, the Beatles and Bob Marley. “Crafty, catchy, soulful and definitely road trip ready,” Tariq Hussain, member of Vancouver band Brasstronaut, says of Hurley's new album.
Hurley is releasing his first solo album—June—in the summer of 2016, and plans to tour the West Kootenays following its release.
Hurley plays rhythm guitar and sings on the five-song EP, which is being produced by Maverick Blue, a.k.a. Darryl Taylor, award winning composer, producer, and singer/songwriter.  Also producing and co-writing a track on June, is Jonathan Fluevog, talented producer, musician, manager, promoter, and, documentarian. “The album is reflective and it takes you back, makes you long for home,” says Maverick Blue. The music is best described as Americana—a mix of pop, rock and country—but with a very Canadian flavour. A number of guest musicians join Hurley on the tracks, including Maverick Blue, guitarist Tavis Stanley from Art of Dying, Shawn Martin, Jonathan Fluevog, Rob Hamilton (KOS), Daryl Hayvers (Colin James), and Janet and Nancy Bourchier on backing vocals.
This is Hurley's third time in the studio, having previously recorded two albums as frontman of Vancouver band Ross Vegas, named after his home town. Their second album Flow was released in 2005 and their initial EP The Red Light EP was released in 2003. The band also opened for two-time Juno award winner Dan Mangan in Vancouver in 2006.

The Yellow Kites are Kendall Ludwig (Indianapolis folk-rock artist and from the all-lap-dulcimer duo, Stories of Clockwork- guitar, dulcimer and vocals) and Erina Ludwig (guitar, harmonium, harmonica and vocals). Erina, hailing from London, UK, and Kendall, from Cory, IN (population 200 minus 1) met in Indianapolis, IN on July the 4th of 2007.  Erina was on an around the world trip doing volunteer work and Kendall was on the heels of one of his multitude of jobs.  The two arranged a breakfast for the next morning, stayed in touch, and finally went from good friends to boy and girlfriend, thanks to the curiosity of a friend. In good time they were finally wed in the crisp fall of 2009. 

This husband and wife duo started by bringing together the sounds of classic folk from America to Ireland to East Africa. From upbeat humor-laden songs to those with reflective lyrics played out in their voices and interwoven with the Appalachian dulcimer, harmonica, guitar and harmonium; their music has brought much needed diversity in a heavily saturated scene.

Their new album, 'Alchemy' came after a year of sudden losses as a way of navigating back through the grief. As well as Kendall and Erina on guitar, harmonium, lap dulcimer, harmonica, percussion and viola; they are joined by Ryan Teverbaugh (bass), Pat Kellar (drums), Evan Sawada (djembe) and Mae Hodgson (mandolin).

The album delicately captures a new earnestness in its authors to do what music is by its very nature intended to do. From the lyrics to arrangements, there is a clear and rewarding shift from their earlier endeavors.

To support their new album, The Yellow Kites will be embarking on their ‘Birds on the Porch 2013 Tour’ through the Midwest, parts of the South and New England.

The Yellow Kites simply hope to reintroduce the love of music, sound, life and people back into places where it’s gone missing.

Mirroring his multicultural roots, Kawa Akari (aka Pablo Akira Beimler) mixes Japanese instruments with wordly funky, trip-hop, house, techno vibes.

From tech, deep and minimal house roots, Sydney’s Rees Hellmers is a sure-fire adorned installment to the successful Australian dance music industry. Taking this with a newfound appreciation for electro house and hip-hop genres, it’s without a doubt this young artist is destined for a memorable and successful trip down musical lane. Incorporating five years of professional DJ involvement and a recent year of anticipated production time with several releases and remixes hitting the Beatport top 100 charts both as a solo artist and duo member of Cash Maraud; Rees is a proving work of wonder.

Taking invaluable amounts of inspiration from arguably some of the most refined artists in the electronic dance music industry – Axwell, Thomas Gold and Australia’s own Tommy Trash and Ivan Gough; Rees consistently showcases the most significant of what the EDM world has to offer. Notorious for a superb selection of tracks from like-minded producers in the electronic domain, it isn’t surprising that Rees’s contribution to Beatport is also reflective of the musical talent he shares in the studio and in the clubs regularly.
