I wrote this song about a woman I met in a cafe long time ago.  She walked in wearing hot leather shorts, a fringed leather jacket and these ultra thigh high boots.  I was sitting with my daughter speaking with two other fellas there and one of the guys goes "Oh my God."  And she saw us and came right over and sat down.  They knew each other.  She was so cool and even though she was older - I believe she told me she was 57 - she looked amazing.  We talked for a minute, but I never got her name.  Years later, I thought about her and wrote this song.  I just called her "Miranda" because it's a name I always liked.  Later, I found out her name was Dusty and lived in Costa Mesa, California.  If she's still alive, she would be in her 80s as of today 8/11/25.
