A string quartet in three movements by Roy Swanson (ASCAP).  The piece begins with contemplative and flowing music as the title of the movement is "Flowing."  The second movement is titled "Rap" due to its rhythmic pulse.  The instruments each take parts in the driving rhythm, giving the listener a sense of a group of rap artists improvising a song in this genre.  The third movement returns to a slow and contemplative feel before suddenly changing into a rhythmic figure characterized by triplets surrounded by eighth notes that compliment the melodic tune in the other instruments.
