First up is a pretty simple mashup of Wiley and MJ Cole's beat driven 'From the Drop' and Garage/Grime/8bar classic 'Eskimo'. 

The science bit: Side chained the Bass end of 'Eskimo' to dip when the Kicks of 'From the Drop' hit, increasing the possible headroom of the track and making the low end sound clean and punchy. General EQ and a L2 Limiter. Bosh.  



Wiley - Eskimo Drop (P.E.S.T Mashup)

Starting out DJing from a very young age and jumping into production at the age of 16, despite never taking it seriously at the time it set him up for a future in music. Attending university to study music production in 2014 the music artistry started to flow. Since then he has released on Articulate Sound (Ali McKs Label) as well as Broken. The Suffolk based producer has gathered support from My Nu Leng, Skepsis, Distro, Marcus Nasty, Murder He Wrote, TC4 & loads more.

His track 'Contagion' taken from his debut EP ‘Feel Free’ was featured by Dummy Mag and reached #1 in the Juno Download Charts and also had a track featured in DJ Mag’s Top 10 by Sheffields ‘Where’s North?’ earlier this year. The 28 year old is now officially represented by Articulate Artists Agency setting him up nicely for his debut 1Forty Release with his Single ‘They Don’t Know’. A Funky flip on Wiley’s Colder. The original going way back to 2006 taken from ‘Eskiboy Da 2nd Phaze’ Mixtape. Premiering on BBC Radio 1 on Toddla T's Show on 08/11/18.

On May 6th, New Jersey producer / DJ Jaw Jam will release The Truth EP, Tuff Wax Records’ eleventh release and first 12” pressing. The three tracks explore Jaw Jam's signature style; soft sine synth-work, unorthodox structures and elusive vocal samples that strike a balance between a deep reference to the club atmosphere and the producer’s engagement in jazz and improvisatory music. 

Released on a single-sided pressing with a stunning laser etched design on the flip, packaged in hand-screened recycled card sleeves, backed with a digi-EP featuring a freestyle inspired electro-pop remix with all the melody you'd expect from label honcho Lockah, and completed with a screwed opium-house rework from fellow rising Aberdonian Yoin.
