For this challenge, Type Set, I used the sound of a keyboard typing the first two stanza's of Edgar Allan Poe's, 'The Raven' .  The typing was performed and recorded by my close collaborator, JC Petkovich, who used a JD40 which he built and dropped into a CNC'ed aluminum case. JC also added foam between the PCB and case to dampen the noise, the switches are Aqua Zilent switches which are also very quiet. The keyboard recording was then processed using Supercollider to "tune" the key sounds using a band pass filter. In addition,  recordings of raindrops as well ravens were also similarly processed and used in the final piece. The work was assembled and mixed in Ableton Live 10 and some software instruments were added.

With the right perspective, this can be a very empowering statement.

It's not your fault that things are this way. It's not my fault either. And so with that, all you can do is go ahead and make the most of the situation. Just do your best.

And you're now accountable. 

There's no point complaining about how unfair it all is. It is what it is. So just get on with it.

You don't have to change the world. You can try to if you really want to.

But regardless...The World Is As It Is.
