Two years after the Sunday Shuffle, Richard (aka SwissScot) has found the new home to broadcast from. Welcome to Yellow Hat Lakeside.

Broadcasting from Neuchâtel's lakeside with views across the Bernese Alps, the show is dedicated to interesting music from across the genres, and bringing together the music scenes in Glasgow and Neuchâtel - with the focus always trying to stay on those with less of a voice but with a big voice.

Biography
Richard is an experienced musician, growing up singing in national choirs touring and regularly recording. In 2005 he picked up the decks, and from his first regular gig DJing jazz on vinyl in a small restaurant in Glasgow, he's DJed on Groove City Radio from 2012-15,2017-19, held a residency at Barras Art and Design, and played numerous gigs across the city over years including Fiesta Festival 2018, Old Toll Bar, Rum Shack, Variety Bar. In 2019 he played the B4 Beach Hotel in Zanzibar, and post-pandemic after moving to Neuchâtel, got back behind the decks in the middle of the forest - which brought a tear to his eye.

Whilst Richard's root flavour is almost certainly jazz, his collection spans right across the decades and international regions - with a focus on what sounds good.  His focus, just now, is re-building his house and techno sets for the Swiss audience, with plans to introduce a bit more of the Glasgow love.

In an era when too many “metal” bands seem focused on cramming one hundred breakdowns into every song, learning some embarrassing on stage choreography that would make N’SYNC blush, or tuning their guitars to drop Q and chugging away aimlessly, Order Of The Dead blast through the monotonously mundane with a brutal, and decisively old school roar. A Black Curse Comes is unabashedly heavy, and a triumphant middle finger to current trends that holds its bloody horns high. 
Black Curse wastes no time with pleasantries, and drops the hammer right out of the gate with “Crimson Tide”. This seven minute thrasher would sit nicely alongside something from the roster of classic Tampa area death metal bands that recorded at the infamous Morrisound Studios in the early 90’s. The guitars on this record ripple, squeal, and dive bomb, instantly taking you back to an era when metal gods were worshiped at the Altar Of Madness by you and your high school buddies; on Walkmans and well-worn cassette tapes alike. 

The go for the throat ferocity of heavy metals glory days are prevalent on every nuance and note, but is always undercut with just enough European sounding guitar melody to give the album a constant feeling of contrast and tension. A push and pull between the dulcet and the discordant. It is in this aspect where Order Of The Dead truly shines, and keeps Black Curse fresh and interesting through multiple spins. Always technically dazzling, but never losing the listener to a display of self-important musical excess that plague so many other bands of this genre, the song craft is always the key focus here. Each instrument working together seamlessly: Pushing a well-oiled kill machine onward through nigtmares of political corruption, (“Three Two Two”), tyranny, (The catchy Swedish metal stomp of “Resistance Is Victory”), and yes- even a zombie apocalypse. (“Sucking The Marrow.”) 

To the uninitiated, the sheer force of the vocal delivery here will sound as frightening as an elevator ride with Ray Rice, but to those who long for the days of real and absolutely pummeling metal, your curse has finally come.

I grew up in Chicago listening to the sounds of Run DMC, AC/DC and of course, old-school house music. When I was about 12 years old, my Mom bought me my first DJ set-up; nothing fancy but enough to allow me to practice. I DJ'd my first gig in 8th grade (our graduation party!) and began a serious venture into the DJ business ever since.

When I was 21, I DJ'd a surprise birthday party for a client at a local sports bar. After the party was over, the bar owner came up to me and said "Hey, if you're not busy next Saturday, come by." I was thrilled that I was going to have a steady DJ job on the weekends.

That lasted for about 8 years when I was finally noticed by the Entertainment Director at one of the most popular entertainment companies in Chicago, Ala Carte Entertainment. Have you heard of Alumni Club? Famous Freddie's? Vision? Excalibur? Deja Vu? Legroom? I was headlining at one of the more popular nightclubs in Chicago every weekend and enjoyed every moment entertaining thousands of people. In 2008, I left the club life to focus on my mobile entertainment business. 

The music of David St. Romain defies easy categorization, and in many ways, so does the man himself. Hailing from the central Louisiana town of Alexandria, David has steadily built his reputation as an entertainer, playing high-energy, musically diverse shows driven by what may be his biggest asset -- that powerful, soul-drenched voice. America got a taste of David's promising talents when he made the finals of Nashville Star in 2007. Now David is delivering on that promise, releasing brand-new music showcasing what his followers across the country have been raving about for years. David's musical education began early in life. As a kid, he was taking in the pop-influenced country sounds of Kenny Rogers from his dad's record collection before rocking out at Metallica and Guns 'N Roses concerts with his junior high buddies. The new wave of '90s country brought along by Garth Brooks had a big impact on David, courtesy of his older brother's copy of Garth's seminal No Fences album. David's growing obsession with music soon gave way to actually performing for audiences. From that point on, David was hooked. "I never really wanted to do anything else besides singing and entertaining as a career path. When I did my first talent show in 6th grade singing Europe’s ‘Carrie,' that's when I learned that you can get girls while singing onstage," David says with a laugh. "But seriously, I just knew from a very young age that I wanted to perform, and I think that's a huge blessing. It allowed me to block everything else out and just focus on my music." Further musical explorations led David to expand his R&B vocal skills singing in a group styled after the harmonies of Boyz II Men. Attending a Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart concert at age 19 further cemented David's desire to pursue country music specifically. Travis and Marty incorporated blues, southern rock and straight-ahead country into their sound. Even now, it's not uncommon to find Sugarland sharing a stage with Beyonce, Kenny Chesney scoring a hit single with Dave Matthews, or Taylor Swift performing on TV with Def Leppard. In that same spirit, David set off to incorporate his diverse influences into his own style of country music. By his early 20s, David had started playing shows in nearby Hammond, Louisiana, where he met up with a local producer. That chance meeting led to a few recording sessions and the beginning of David's trips to Nashville to take a swing at the big time. Along the way, David made further connections in Music City, and ended up in the studio working on his music with some of Music Row's top musicians. Their advice went a long way in helping David develop his distinct vocal style. At the same time, frequent gigs at clubs across the country gave David an invaluable opportunity to win over sometimes-disinterested crowds and have them in the palm of his hand by the end of the set. "There's an experience and wisdom that you pick up in that environment," David says, "You learn to be a professional at all times, whether you're playing for two people or a crowd of hundreds." By October 2005, David's tour schedule was in high gear, and his personal life was also on solid footing he celebrated his first daughter Bailey, born the following October, just as David got the opportunity of a lifetime -- a slot on the new season of TV's premiere country competition Nashville Star. Besides the invaluable national exposure that show brought him, David also got to go on the 40 city Nashville Star tour and interact with a number of the nearly half million fans who voted for him. While competing on Nashville Star, David struck up a working relationship with one of the show's producers Shawn Pennington. A Music Row veteran who's managed multi-platinum acts such as Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Randy Owen (Alabama), & Cowboy Troy. Skitzo Nova is an American Composer/Rap Artist titled by his versatile mixtures of many music genres including Hip Hop, Funk, House and R&B.  When he's not listening to music, he's learning and creating new styles. His care free attitude and free expression in his lyrics makes him an unpredictable music personality and very entertaining. 


Skitzo Nova got his first taste of music in 1996, when he touched a piano for the first time at the age of 4. Amazed by the different sounds, he started experimenting with the different keys and notes. Not long after, he learned to play many melodies by ear. All who listened, snapped their fingers and tapped their toes to this young kid's catchy tunes. 
At the age of 6, he learned how to play the recorder and would occasionally perform in groups for his first grade class. 

When he got his first keyboard at the age of 11, he started practicing how to change his instruments to fit different styles of music while giving them an electric feel. 

 At 16, he started playing both the acoustic and electric guitar recreating some of his favorite themes from movies and television shows. His craving for new music and instruments always increases. He takes  advantage of any opportunity to get his hands on new instruments. He writes alot of his thoughts and ideas out; forever flowing with new ideas for songs and instrumentals, Always thinking and remaining open minded, he expresses his vision through drawings, poems, spoken word and rap.. He now uses music software to better expand his production of music where the instruments are close to unlimited.

No stranger to oldies but goodies, he grew up listening to music from icons such as James Brown, Kool and The Gang, Parliament, Bootsie Coolins, One Way, The Isley Brothers, The Jackson 5 and many more. At a young age, he listened to various Hip Hop artists including, DJ Quick, Sugar Free, NWA, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Bone Thugs, Nas, Busta Rhymes and Eminem. He even listens to some Rock and Metal bands like Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Metallica and Dream Theater, With all this talent and exposure to different genres of music, At age 22 its no doubt he is ready to pursue his music career.

SLickAttack (Msizi Sponsor Maseko) is a vibrant upcoming artist whose creativity speaks for itself. He was born 08 May 1995 (Murchison Hospital) and raised in the rural areas of South Coast, Port Shepstone.  Whilst growing up he attended Port Shepstone Primary School (2001-2007) where his love for entertaining people began. As a little boy he participated in many playwrights, dances, art competitions and singing events. In 2007 when he was still just a grade 6 learner, being influenced by his role models Kanye West and Lil Wayne(at the time), he decided to start writing his own lyrics. He carried the love for writing with him to high school (Marburg Secondary School, 2008-2013)but it was in 2010 where he teamed up with childhood friends and fellow rappers Mthetheleli Malishe (Gee), Mthobisi Mazibuko (Mthobza), Samkelo Madulini (DJ Sam), Zethembe Gambushe (Toy Soldier) to collectively form the group "Guess Who!" In the same year they released their first ever recorded song as a group titled "Mr Swaggerific" which gained the group popularity at school. A mix-tape followed in 2011 and it was titled ''The Take off'' however it didn't sell many copies. The group split in 2012 because of creative differences but they still recorded many songs such as ''Turn up the lights", ''We Goin Beast", "Fvck It" to name just a few. All of which were released digitally and some of the songs received good reviews. In 2016 he teamed up once again with his childhood friend and former group member Mthetheleli Malishe (Gee)to form the duo "Slick & Gee". 

Slick is not only just a rapper but he is also a beat-maker, writer and producer in the genre of Rap/Hip-Hop. He is always looking to expand his horizons and understanding of music by exposing himself to many genres of music and he tries to integrate the other styles into his music. Slick sees himself as the next generation of rappers whose purpose is to make music that matters, music that touches the heart and soul, music which people who are struggling with life can relate to and find solace in, music that is for the MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT!
