A true veteran DJ, producer and engineer, A Sides has an epic collection of releases to his name making him one of the most prolific and versatile artists in drum & bass. 

Over the course of his extensive career, A Sides has never limited himself to a single style and has proved to be a highly capable selector whatever style he is drawing for. 

Reaching out with a sound that has truly global appeal, A Sides continues to tour the world over and 2013 has seen him grace the turntables in places like Sardinia, Russia, Poland, Amsterdam, Hungary, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. 

Jason Cambridge (aka A Sides) has been producing music since 1990 and has released well over 500 tracks to date across many of the scene’s biggest labels. 

He established his own label Eastside Records in 1996 and has since put out over 85 releases, including two compilation albums (Eastside Jamz Volumes 1 & 2) as well as A Sides solo albums "Follow The Groove" "Worldwide" "Mysterious Vibes" and the most recent album album "Based Upon Bass"

A highly accomplished engineer as well as an artist in his own right, A Sides has collaborated with the likes of Calibre, Makoto, DJ Marky, Break, Jo-S, Kemo, Deeizm, Mc Mc, Randall, Jenna G, Mark de Clive-Lowe and jazz musician Nathan Haines (under the guise of Sci-Clone) 

His long-standing partnership with MC Fats has borne some of his biggest tracks to date, including the massive hit "What U Don’t Know" which featured on A Sides’ debut long-player in 2003.
To catch the pair performing live is to hear drum & bass at it’s finest, with the deep soul sound of MC Fats bringing the perfect complement to A Sides razor sharp beats.

With tracks released on many other labels such as Metalheadz, Valve, True Playaz, Bingo, Innerground, Reinforced, Advanced, Liqweed Ganja and Hospital to name but a few, A Sides has a discography of truly epic proportions. 

A veteran of the scene from the early days, through hardcore to jungle to drum & bass, his influence has been immense. Over the years he’s taken on the role A&R for many labels, including of course his own imprints Fuze and Eastside, and was among the first to recognize and nurture the talent of producers such as Break.

Always moving forward and shaping new styles, in 2008 he established BassHead Music together with Juan BassHead aka DJ Burn to showcase the finest in dubstep and bass heavy beats. 

After a successful debut (feat. 12th Planet and Skream) there have been releases from Otto Von Schirach, Noah D feat. Einstein, Datsik, Bassnectar, Silver, Bare, Break, Serum, Figure, Hulk, Zed's Dead & The Killabits & Wheez-ie. Following this a compilation album All Killer No Filler was also release seeing Basshead regulars stepping up alongside new artists such as Mr Explicit, Total Science, DJ Sneak, Jah Free, Code 305, Animal Crackerz, Agzilla and Bats.

With a diverse music policy, encompassing not just dubstep but other bass-heavy beats, BassHead has some exciting projects in the making over the next 12 months. To add icing on the cake Basshead have also just won the 2013 Red Bull Culture Clash in Miami making them a force to be reckoned with. 

A Sides has also recently added a digital arm to Eastside Records and made the entire back-catalogue available for mp3 download from digital store Beatport. For most of 2013 he has been the figurehead behind a fundraising album for his good friend MC Fats who has been suffering with health problems. He has managed to compile an album with over 30 tracks from many high profile artists. * Jim Walsh (lead guitar, vocals, grandfather, newlywed, Trader Joe's crew member): He started as a fan of the band by attending DMCGW shows during our “Coffee House” era. One day Don’s brother Mike invited him up to play on a few songs and like a stray dog, he never left our side! His musical tastes range from Zappa to Clapton to Joe Walsh (no relation) to The Allman Brothers to Alabama Shakes to CAKE and everything else in between. This nearly retired, ''man of a certain age'' can shred his axe like someone 1/2 or 1/3 his
age! His Hyundai Santa Fe was used as a ‘’studio’’ to listen to and chose from the many mastered versions of the tunes on the new CD! He can eat and drink his own weight in one sitting and never gain an ounce!

Cut the cake, let’s take it to the stage, its 1975!

With those words and a tip of the hat to a couple of gems from another time James Fox Higgins proudly declares his intentions for the brand new album ’1975′.

Equal parts soul, jazz, retro pop and West Coast smooth with a dash of Miami disco, ‘1975’ is the culmination of one man’s love affair with the music of a bygone era. Written, produced and arranged by Higgins, the album is sure to find admirers amongst people whose playlist is loaded with the sounds of Allen Stone, Mayer Hawthorne, Steely Dan, Dennis Coffey or Hall & Oates.

Setting the scene for the album with its sultry piano chords and swooning soprano sax, the opening track gently lulls the listener ‘Back In Time’ to “a time of music, a time of soul, a pre-digital world, a world of hope” and invites them to join Higgins on his retro pilgrimage. The album shines a light brightly on Higgins’ musical luminaries. There’s the Rotary Connection inspired ‘Sun & Sea’, an ode to the natural love affair between the sun and the life giving ocean; the socially aware and relevant ‘Stand Up’, a call to arms to fight against institutionalised homophobia and racism; the breezy ‘Life In The Love Zone’, influenced by harmony driven folksters like Seals & Crofts or Crosby, Stills & Nash and ‘Soul Train’, a disco flavoured tribute to the legendary Don Cornelius-hosted TV Show that launched countless artists into the mainstream. Track after track Higgins proves he’s a modern performer with that rare ability to straddle strong lyrical themes with infectious upbeat melodies and grooves, a trick he learnt from childhood heroes such as The Style Council and Simply Red.

‘Brother There’s Still Time’ is the gospel-tinged ballad that tells a more personal story about the artist’s own experience of racism and discrimination in the world. Higgins’ vocals, instrumentation and production will evoke memories of early-70s Stevie Wonder and the song is the perfect balance to the reworking of Sam Cooke’s classic ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’, the quintessential lamentation of racism and social disharmony. With the greatest respect and one of his most emotional vocal performances, Higgins delivers his own quiet storm arrangement of this very important song in soul music’s history.

The first single from the album ’1975 (Wish I Was There)’ is an upbeat soul-funk dissertation on the key musical events of that year. From Wonder’s participation in the Festival of Human Kindness, the release of The Who’s ‘Tommy’, Springsteen’s ‘Born to Run’ and Bowie’s ‘Young Americans’, the birth of Sean Lennon and the untimely demise of Tim Buckley and Al Jackson. And of course what would a song about 1975 be without name checks for Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, The Bee Gees, Curtis Mayfield, The Stones and co. With a respectful tip of the hat to Dorothy Moore’s ‘Looking For A Lovin’’, this joyous foot-stomper comes complete with an era-correct George Benson-inspired guitar solo by the legendary Rex Goh and is destined to take you back in time whether you were there or not.

Throughout ‘1975’ Higgins shows he possesses a deep-seated reverence for the pioneers of 70s music.”I grew up in the 90’s and all along I felt like I was born at the wrong time.” he explains, “That year is the epitome of soul music to me. Music production was at new heights, there was funk, disco, soul, R&B and jazz rock coming from all parts of the world. Social consciousness was fashionable and present in the lyrics of pop songs. Times are very different now.”

Arguably one of the best open format DJs in South Africa, Ryan the DJ is no stranger to the game!

Starting his career back in 2003, he has since performed at some of the most prestigious events in S.A and the international stage from Mozambique, Zambia, Thailand and Ethiopia. He has performed the likes of Ultra S.A, H2o, Rocking The Daisies, Redbull BC One, Pop Bottles, Rage, Oh Ship and more.
To date he has secured many DJ competition title wins under his belt, most notably the Redbull 3Style South African Champion 2017 as well as being the only South African DJ to make it to the World Grand Finale (Top 6 in the World) which was hosted in Poland in 2018. Judges included American DJ, Actor and Producer Jazzy Jeff, Multiple award winning DJ Craze and many more.

His talent and skill for pleasing the masses allowed him the opportunity to be part of the 5FM family featuring as a mix DJ on the Ultimix for over 9 years and being the host of his own shows, Starting From Scratch and The After Party which aired from 2018 till 2021. Ryan has served as an ambassador
for Denon DJ and most recently Rane DJ South Africa and completed campaigns for Samsung, Sony and Starbucks. He is currently the host of The Urban Beat, a premium dance show on South Africa's biggest commercial radio station, Metro FM every Friday and Saturday from 22:00 till 00:00.

Brian Santana a.k.a Breezy Mane was born on September 2 of 1995.He was born in Oxnard,California but raised in Atlanta,Ga.At the age of 12 Breezy Mane started writing his own music and listening rappers like Lil Wayne,Biggie Smalls, Kanye West and the list goes on, Music Was Music to me. Juan Andrés Ospina is regarded as one of the most active and prominent exponents of a very outstanding generation of Colombian musicians.  Splitting his time between New York, Colombia and Europe, he works as a pianist, composer, arranger, producer and comedian in a wide range of musical styles. 

His latest album, Juan Andrés Ospina Big Band “Tramontana” (2018), features 26 musicians from 10 different countries, and among them is the 14-times Grammy awarded saxophonist Paquito D’Rivera. The album’s realization follows a successful, inventive Kickstarter campaign, which raised 35,000 dollars through the support of 600 backers from all over the world. The album was released at a sold out two-sets concert at the renowned venue “Dizzy’s Jazz Coca Cola”, part of the Lincoln Center in October 2018, and previously the same year he was invited to conduct and perform his big band music with the legendary WDR Big Band (Cologne, Germany).

In the past years, Juan Ospina has produced, arranged and recorded the piano in several international awarded albums. Among them is Colombian singer Marta Gómez’ Este instante (2015), which won a Latin Grammy and received two Latin Grammy nominations; Portuguese singer Sofia Ribeiro’s Ar (2012), which won the “Revelation” prize by the prestigious jazz French magazine Jazzman; and Portuguese singer Luisa Sobral’s debut Cd The Cherry on my Cake (2011) which won a Golden and Platinum award, and reached the top charts in many European countries shortly after its release. In 2014 he wrote an arrangement for Colombian singer Fonseca’s Latin Grammy DVD Fonseca Sinfónico, which won a Latin Grammy for “Best pop vocal album”, and in 2007 he worked as arranger for the Latin Grammys Live Achievement Awards Ceremony.

He produced, arranged and recorded the piano for Portuguese singer’s album “The Cherry on my Cake” (Universal Music 2010), which won a Platinum Disk Award, as well as the latest albums by multi awarded artists Sofia Ribeiro (Portugal) and Marta Gómez (Colombia). He has arranged, recorded and performed with Grammy awarded Colombian super pop star Fonseca in many occasions, the 12-times Grammy Awarded legendary saxophonist Paquito D’Rivera has performed some of his compositions in venues such as the Carnegie Hall (New York) and The Blue Note (New York), and his big band music has been performed by orchestras in the US, Japan, Finland and Colombia. Ospina’s album “BBB: Barcelona, Bogotá, Boston” (2010) was referred by the prestigious 'All About Jazz' review as one of the "best 2010 jazz albums", and besides presenting it in important festivals in the US, Europe and South America, its music has been requested for educational purposes by institutions such as the prestigious Berklee College of Music, the New England Conservatory and the North Texas University amongst others. Parallel to his work as a producer, pianist and arranger, he leads the comedy/music duo “Inténtalo Carito” with his brother Nicolás Ospina. They started touring internationally on 2013 with the duo, and together they composed the popular Youtube song “Qué difícil es hablar el español”; their Youtube channel to date has more than 22,000,000 views from all over the world.

He started his studies at the Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia) and shortly after he moved to Barcelona (Spain), where he studied jazz at the Taller de Musics and classical music at the Escola D‘Angel Soler. Awarded with an International World scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music, he moved to Boston in 2005 and graduated in 2007 “Summa Cum Laude”. Since 2009 he has been living in between New York and Bogotá.

Sherraine( Rain G) House was born July 18th, in Centreville, Illinois. Raised in East St. Louis, Illinois, Rain G is the youngest of six kids. Life was not always easy but she allowed those lessons to mold her into the woman she is today. Her older brother was very lyrical and became her inspiration to rap. He introduced her to the music world. She will never forget the day he challenged her and her sister to a freestyle battle to win a cake. That was the moment she can never forget. It was the day a little girl's dream was realized and she was not satisfied until that dream came true. Rain G started with a group called Thug Tension produced by Iceberg. In 2005 Rain G joined production company Blunthaus Recordz. Rain G is now affilated with Real Noize Productions. Rain G has been steadily hustling. She has modeled for six magazines and has been featured on over 25 mixtapes including: Beat Raider Vol. 1, Beat Raider Chopped and Screwd by Dj Konvict, and Both Sides of the Bridge mixtape with Mos Precious and Younglazy. She is now poised to drop Beat Raider Vol. 2 and release her mixtape/dvd Street Chronicles. Bilblast always had a genuine love for music from an early age. Music was instilled in him through his parents extensive record collection. Some of his influences consist of Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Issac Hayes, Ohio Players, Jay-Z, Nas, Tribe called Quest, and Big Daddy Kane to name a few.. “ Actually, the Rza influenced me to get into production. In 1994, I heard Wu-Tang’s Can It All Be So Simple, and I wondered who was behind the production? So I did some research and found out who produced it, and it was at that moment that I fell in love with hip-hop..” My brother Steve Penn was very instrumental with me becoming a producer because he had all the equipment (sp1200) and he showed me the ins and outs of the machine. From there I was hooked! As time went on my skills improved and I knew I could make a career out of music". Bilblast is certainly not driven by money. " I feel as though money should not be the motivation of your creativity. When you are too concerned with the money aspect, it will interfere with the way you create! Money should be the icing on the cake not motivation! After, years of studying his craft he's ready for the world to get a dose of what he has to offer.
