An audiovisual set for Currents.fm’s “COMMON Multiverse Initiative” streaming festival in March 2021. I sourced video clips from around the internet and created a collage exploring ideas of decomposition & regeneration set to a matching DJ set, drawing inspiration from Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing’s book "The Mushroom at the End of the World".

About Martin Jarl[Sweden]:

Deep comforting and soothing are the general aim of my musical outlet, it’s basically just therapy for myself. I’m humbled and glad others feel drawn to it.  

I have a long-lasting relationship with electronic music in various forms and I generally try to stay open minded to all kinds of music. 

The set for Space ViewX is an opportunity so promote or put a spotlight on some of the great music I recently found (and connected with) just browsing band camp. There is so much talent out there and I really wish there was more time to just enjoy and spend more time with music.

Bio:
DJ/composer from Venice, Italy. Grown with family's funk vinyls, he became a passionate listener of minimal and underground electronic 
music, trying to discover something different. Listening to jazz, trip-hop and ambient, help him to compose new atmospheres for his independent releases. A bunch of trip-hop/jazz/ambient tracks that could easily fill your room during the night. Play it and you will  get some less famous tracks from well-known artists, mixed with new releases from independent ones.

He moved in Saigon(Vietnam) and started the underground bass music party "Base of the Bass" in 2014 and has played at Bass Republic/Error:102/The Obsevatory/The Lighthouse and Studio Adventure as well as many other Festival/Parties across Vietnam.
Co-founder of the online radio and party gang "Mogra Radio" since 2020.
