With only 17 years old John-e started as a DJ in Macau in 1994. One year later he initiated his professional career at Club UFO, achieving, later on, a daily residence. He was the pioneer of dance music in Macau and played in Hong Kong at the famous I-Spy parties. Also in Asia, he was a resident in Club Santa Fe, located at Ko-Samui island in Tailand and also played in the famous Ko-Phagans Full Moon Parties.

John-e lived in London between 1997 and 2000 playing regularly at clubs like the 414 and George IV (both in Brixton) and in some underground festivals. With these playing experiences John-e gained very British electronic roots: playing various musical styles such as break-beat, minimal techno, progressive or deep-house, mixing it all up in his own personal style.

He moves to Portugal in 2000 continuing his activity as a DJ and beginning his career as a producer. In 2002, already with more consistency, he begins to play live with a laptop, a 16 channels mixer, a synthesizer and FXs as part of the projects ZOOM and, later on, Stereo Addiction together with his friend/colleague DJ Gustavo.

After a couple of years and  hard work, john-e is nominated for Best Newcommer DJ by ''Dance Club'' Mag. and ''Portugal Night'' mag. both in the same year.

John-e was also performing at some major events like Underworlds concert in Coliseu de Lisboa, Da Providers tent in Optimus Hype @ Meco with Infusion and Dave Seaman, Mountain Festival (Japan), Sudoeste Festival 2006, 2007 & 2008, Creamfields, Rock in Rio along Sasha & Digweed, Boom Festival 08, and has rocked  Clubs like, Spider Galaxy (Switzerland), The Egg (london), The Aquarium (london), Aka (london), Lux, Kadok, Pacha (Porto), Industria (Porto), to name a few.

John-e is currently running New Breed Label along with Diego Miranda and has already released for labels like, Kismet, Vapour Records, Iberican Records, Global Scum, Dot Com, Feed Me, Benthic, Etc

You will hear the usual chaos of a family reunion; tiny riots of laughter that reduce the span of absence to a distant memory. You’ll hear the in-jokes, the memories and the recalling of age-old embarrassments. These are all the sounds of home.

The Soorleys are a tousled bohemian outfit. Sisters Beth, Laura, Shelley and Millie are up front, with husbands Sam and Christopher in tow, rounded out by honorary cousin Phil - when it comes to bands, few people can boast such familial chemistry.

The daughters of a travelling preacher, Beth, Laura, Shelley and Millie were never far from an impromptu knees-up. There were hastily arranged renditions of ‘Edelweiss’, or the gospel sway of Sister Act’s ‘Joyful, Joyful’ – one that still gets wheeled out at family gatherings. It wasn’t long before the sisters were finishing each other’s musical sentences, creating four part folk harmonies that channeled vocal groups of the 60’s.

Love did the rest of the work. Childhood sweetheart Sam was drafted in on drums, raised on a trans-Tasman diet of Crowded House and Aussie folk-rockers Goanna. Lured from across a crowded bar by Beth’s pitch-perfect rendition of ‘Summer of 69’, multi-instrumentalist Chris joined the family soon after. Seventh member Phil is a card-carrying blood brother on bass.

Together, they are The Soorleys.

The moniker is a tip of the hat to a mother’s maiden name; the music is a family jamboree. They call it ‘fun folk’; the raw stomp of their Irish ancestors and the pop sensibilities of Fleetwood Mac. The Soorleys are here to get you dancing. There’s no shoegazing here; onstage the sisters spin, hoot and holler with joy and abandon. “Thunders roar, we dance, we're chasing all our fears away,” they sing, chanting incantations atop folk rhythms.

You will hear the usual chaos. The four part harmonies, the jangle of banjos and the thump of the floor tom. The reckless spirit of a big tent revival.

“Gallagher’s vocal power may remind you of the late Steve Marriot or a young Robert Plant” , wrote Relix magazine when describing the sound of Lee Gallagher and The Hallelujah’s eponymous debut release.  Relix praised the record and named the band “one of 5 artists you should know about”.  More critical acclaim for the record followed from outlets such as Shindig! and Classic Rock and drew more comparisons ranging from Neil Young to Tom Petty to The Band. 

Gallagher started his career as a teenager singing in the bars of Southern Ohio.  He learned the harmonica by listening to Little Walter records and soon picked up the guitar to begin crafting his own songs. Things took a turn musically when he moved to San Francisco and subsequently began spending time in Joshua Tree collaborating with artists such as Victoria Williams, Bobby Furgo (Leonard Cohen), and Wally Ingram (Sheryl Crow, Eric Burdon) which resulted in his solo EP, Valley of a Dying Breed.   With pockets full of more songs and the need for a permanent band, he returned to SF and put together a group of musicians he eventually dubbed  “the Hallelujah” to perform the songs live.  The band quickly entered the studio to record their aforementioned full length LP.  Following the release, the band toured the US both headlining and opening for legendary acts such as Leon Russell and were invited to perform for the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary Jambase special, Songs of Their Own.  Their sound swung from psychedelic Americana to southern tent revival and showcased Gallagher’s appreciation for and ability to write songs and move along the fabric and history of rock and roll. 

The new album L.A. Yesterday was recorded at Palomino Sound, a vintage 70’s studio near downtown Los Angeles.  Gallagher was joined by long time band members Kirby Hammel (keyboards) and Jimmy Dewald (bass).  The sonic palette was expanded with the addition of slide guitar, 12 string, mandolin, and searing lead guitar all provided by Jason Soda (Jakob Dylan, Everest, Gospelbeach) who also owns and operates Palomino.  Drummer Will Scott (Gospelbeach, Pink Mountaintops, the Mooney Suzuki) tied everything together providing a rock solid foundation for the new songs to flourish.  To be released in 2020, the album is comprised of 10 songs inspired by dusty stacks of vinyl, the never-ending search for a truer sound, and endless journeys along the back roads and highways of California.

Alabama-born Juli Crockett is a bona fide Renaissance woman: singer, songwriter, playwright, theater director, retired (undefeated) professional boxer and amateur champion, ordained minister with a PhD in Media & Communication, and leader of the alt-country/Americana genre-defying band The Evangenitals.

As a playwright/director, Crockett is best known for her adaptations of classic works of literature and philosophy. Her work has been presented at the REDCAT and 24th Street Theatre (Los Angeles), TENT group (Portland, Maine), and Red Room (New York); festivals: Downtown Film Festival's Sustainable LA and Edge of the World Festival (Los Angeles), Los Angeles Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Venue 13, Scotland.)

In 2013, Juli received her PhD in the Philosophy of Media and Communication from The European Graduate School. Her dissertation, "Void Creation: Theatre and the Faith of Signifying Nothing" was published by Atropos Press. Crockett also received a BFA in Theater at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA in Directing at the California Institute of the Arts.

Her music career centers on writing songs and performing with her bands The Evangenitals. Founded in 2003 with her best friend Lisa Dee, the Evangenitals have produced 4 albums and frequently tour the US. The band has received notable media attention for their singular brand of "hillbilly truckstop lullabies" and continue to contribute a unique presence in the neo-folk/freak-folk movement. The band's music has been used in several films, theater productions, and is currently in rotation on radio stations worldwide.

Unique to her career, Crockett was a professional boxer who was featured in Sports Illustrated, US News and Music Connection Magazine due to her professional connection to Jerry Boyd (aka F.X. Toole) and the film Million Dollar Baby. Crockett retired professionally in 2002, undefeated at 3-0 (2 KO's).
