By trade I am a music producer and writer, and when I'm not buried head first into a music project, I'm tattooing or doing some art of any sort. When it comes to music,

The Decadence Profile

Decadence was born in 1992, promoter David Rowland wanted to establish a brand that changed the face of the UK club scene – this is the Decadence story...

Decadence, like many other businesses started by small promoting events locally before we won our first club residency – Bakers Nightclub in Birmingham. Over time we made both the night and the venue a super-club. The night hit huge success quickly and was a well known haunt for celebrities like John Galliano, Mick Hucknal, Bjork, Kate Moss, Whitney Huston, Bobby Brown, Oasis and Jamiroquai. This was partly due to our close proximity to the National Exhibition Centre and other concert venues in Birmingham. When they were the performing, musicians used our venue for their official after parties, they all had a great experience at our weekly home and word spread fast.
The Decadence brand helped mould and promote some of the world’s biggest DJs working with SASHA, PETE TONG, PAUL OAKENFOLD, BRANDON BLOCK, ALEX P, JUDGE JULES, BOY GEORGE, JEREMY HEALY, SONIQUE, CARL COX and LAUREN POPE as well as other Celebrity DJs... Internationally our booking list included ROGER SANCHEZ, TODD TERRY, LAURENT GARNIER, M.A.W and more.

In 1998 Decadence hit the White Isle with a successful summer at the prestigious El Divino giving the team valuable experience working on the island and enlightening us to the benefits and successes the island brings.

In 2002 our home, Bakers Nightclub, was sold and we decided, due to the market saturation in Birmingham, to concentrate on touring one-off parties and events.
After several years of touring, we have stepped into the spotlight again and launched our new weekly residency at The Prince Albert in Wolverhampton – A marvellous three storey listed building with a stunning outdoor terrace that not only allows us to have many great DJs at each party but also to give our clientèle a full-on club experience within its many different settings.

Greetings, I am Steve
My mission is to create music, or at least attempt to capture and record the music swirling around in my head. Most of it is fairly simple and not all that spectacular, but that's because I am only able to extract little images of what I really hear in my mind..most of it comes out in a pop flavor of some sorts...I wish I had the ability to regurgitate a super focused version of the music I  hear in my mind at will, but it doesn't seem to always work that way :-( ...sometimes I come close, other times not so much. Sometimes the tunes correct, but very out of focus and other times, no matter how many times I try it comes out a vague version of what i actually hear (The Storm and Levitation are examples of this problem). I am looking to fuse many different styles of music that I love...many times it backfires and sounds like a muddy mess, sometimes I want ultra pretty, odd timings and heavy sounding rock...I don't care if i follow the correct path, to me there is no correct musical path, you simply get out you bulldozer and cut your own path...I do have something to leave behind when I eventually part ways with this world, but as of yet I am still trying to figure it out......I don't want to use the word "Influence" but I do look up very much to the following musicians as a guiding light for insparation(s): Electronics, 70's prog rock, 80's Synth pop, Techno/Trance, Fusion Jazz, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal...... Among the highest on the list: William Orbit, Jeff Lynne/ELO, Boston, Dream Theater, Kings X, Rush, Saga, Depeche Mode.

I have written music and sound effects on 5 differnt X-box and Playstation games (That actually got published) and several others that never made it out of the development stage. My ambitions are to find other musicians that I can help realize their musical visions (Now that im a bit too old) and also help to bring mine into focus...I just want to make people smile...Music has the ability to bring out emotions and magical feelings like no other thing on this planet.....Sex is good, but music blows it out of the water! and music will never break your heart.

I believe that for edm to progress, it is important to remember the root of electronic music -- the idea that music can incorporate and appropriate anything else for the sake of creative expansion. Stemming from the works of Luigi Russolo in early 1910s and spanning all the way to modern-day Losi and Woolymammoth, music is meant to progress. I try to take that idea and incorporate as many sounds, genres, and concepts into my beats as possible. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't (see Cocaine and Champagne for an example of shit NOT working :P). 

I feel like when it comes to producing, I have to work twice as hard as everyone else. I'm just super slow when it comes to music, and I am fairly tone deaf :/ But god damn, I love music so much that I want to contribute to it! If I can help push the envelope of music in any way, then I'll be happy :)

The beginning of career of the collective was necessary in the spring of 2007. A few guys decided to play a «true Black Metal» though as a result, in accordance with the interests of participants was created the extensive library of a material with the introduction of elements from Doom, Brutal Death and in even deviation from «black». This, in turn, applauded by all members. That was a band which has reserved a couple of demos drifting on the network. Continuation of the history of the band is connected with deeper leaving in polystylistics, with expansion of structural, acoustic and phonic representations that was decided to call Post-Death. The band had a difficult time, it brought the changes in consciousness and perception of each of the musicians. Because of this there were structure changes. In spring 2010, the guitarist left the band due to mismatch of musical tastes and then there was still a number of metamorphoses. And finaly, as a result of long reflections, having understood that the band needed only completely and given to this serious matter responsible people, the collective transformed in Tapinoma Say. Now this new philosophy and new outlook. At once the band started record of a debut album.

On the threshold of the release of this СD which was recorded in the end of 2010 and mastered in summer 2011 to light is the limited edition of this creation named «Insects [Limited Edition]». A disk have four songs from the album: Insects, From The Depths of My Death, The Fall of the Summer The Rise of the Winter and Seventh Day. The limited edition was released specially for the festival Metal Hail Fest 2011 in order to promo-campaign. It has the original cover that is different from the future official release, and also it has a bonus composition.

Tapinoma Say - a kind of ants "tapinoma sessile", finding by the scientist named Thomas Say. According to current research this kind unique is inclined to form mullions-strong "super colonies", moving ahead in depth of the populated locality, while showing properties of a kind-invader, forcing out other insects and remaining a problem for people.
