This is an organ adaptation of Joseph Knapicius’s SATB choir arrangement named Psalm 13 with the text based on the King James version. This was recorded on our enhanced 1932 Möller pipe organ (Opus 6094) using a Zoom H6 Handy Recorder in the organ loft. The bass was played on the Pedals using 16’ Gedeckt & 8’ Octav. Tenor & alto were on the Swell using 8’ Principal. Soprano was played on Great using 8’ Principal. Though the anthem is intended to be sung at a tempo of 88 BPM, I increased this to 100 BPM.

This is for organists looking for something easy to play but with lots of interest: this short ricercar includes counterpoint that inverts at the 8ve and 12th, and canons.

Variations on "A mighty fortress is our God"

Organ team at Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church playing a 1932 M. P. Möller pipe organ Opus 6094. It has 2 manuals and pedals. The organ was expanded and updated in 1980 by Otto Hofmann. The console and control electronics was modernized in 2019 by Michael Morgan.

Because this is a physical pipe organ, there is no sound board or computer to take the recordings from. We are currently recording most things using an external microphone in the organ loft.
