Getting chills from music is the best part of being alive

Born and raised in Amman, Babers began his musical journey as a child, surrounded by the vibrant sounds of late '70s and '80s funk, disco, synth wave from his father's collection. His passion for dance music sparked in 2009 when he discovered the energetic beats of trance and jungle through video games from the '90s and early 2000s. He started creating CD mixes of his favorite tracks, exploring a wide range of sounds and genres. This journey led him to house music, where he fell in love with groovy percussions and catchy basslines. In 2017, he decided to dive into DJing, aiming to spread good vibes and infectious grooves on the dance floor. By 2021, he expanded his collection to include vinyl records, embracing various genres that inspire his sets and fuel his passion for music.

Gryphn’s Dj career started in London during the first electro  wave of the early 80’s , playing in underground clubs while also hosting his own weekly , Club Boy .Also responsible for compiling weekly underground dance floor charts for New Musical Express , a weekly international music publication.He later moved into a more avant-garde mixing at the birth of the Industrial scene at  the notorious Iron Orchid club, while also being head of promotions  at Recommended Records.At the birth of House music he finally found a long time home as it summarised his entire history of deep listening.To this day Gryphn has not stop playing vinyl . Often searching out vinyl only releases , white labels , unknown artist releases.He is a true digger and an interesting selector.

To say that the London via Madrid raised Max Pietrangeli (Pietra) was born into house music would be no overstatement. His disc-jockey dad was heavily influenced by the sounds of London & Ibiza in the 90s and early 2000s and brought his family to the island every summer throughout Max's youth. He eventually taught a 12-year-old Max the art of mixing on a sturdy Traktor s4 controller, used for numerous teenage-ridden house parties. 

Fast-forward to today and 25-year old Max has had the pleasure of spinning at renowned clubs such as XOYO, Motion Bristol, Phonox, Night Tales, and the late Moles Bath to name a few. 

In 2021, he became an event manager and resident DJ for the Bath & London-based @Originssound parties. He is now based in Brussels, Belgium where he is working to carve out a name for himself in a bustling and fast-growing local music scene. 

Pietra has had the privilege of sharing a lineup with the likes of Nightmares on Wax & Folamour, in addition to warming up for the likes of Chaos in the CBD, Mall Grab, Dan Shake, Peach, Todd Terje and Adam Pits.
