I’ve decided to remaster some albums and tracks that have already been released.  Just felt I could give them a different kinda sound...

I import the wav files into pro tools and then usually load a processor of some kind (compressor, desk etc) on the stereo master buss. This is configured to colour, shape the sound. My versions are usually lower in vol level than the originals. Many releases are hot to signal, but I'm looking for an inherent sound.

Sometimes I apply some chamber and or hall reverb.

Red is the seventh studio album by English progressive rock group King Crimson, released in 1974 by Island Records in the United Kingdom and by Atlantic Records in the United States. It was their last studio recording of the 1970s and the last before the lead member Robert Fripp temporarily disbanded the group. Though their lowest-charting album at the time, spending only one week in the UK charts, Red has received critical acclaim.

When the Kite String Pops is the debut album of American sludge metal band Acid Bath. Released on August 8, 1994, it is considered an underground classic. The album's artwork is a painting made by notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy  while in prison awaiting execution. The balloons on the lower part contain both his nickname, "Pogo the clown", and his name, J. W. Gacy. On the Double Live Bootleg! DVD (2002), Dax Riggs introduced the song "Tranquilized" by saying, "This song is about getting high any way you do it, and kicking the earth from beneath you" and "Cheap Vodka" by saying, "This song is about getting wasted and killing things, blood, sex, and blasphemy." "Toubabo Koomi" is Swahili for "land of the white cannibals." It was the only Acid Bath song that was made into a music video. The song "God Machine" begins with a spoken word introduction by Dax Riggs.

In 1999, sales of the album were just over 37,000 copies in the US, which is higher than average for a band with no publicity and released exclusively on an independent label.
